Do to a lack of a creation kit or other viable means of remodeling or retexing the game I got really tired of looking at the starter weapons. They look like 'super-sookers'. I did a quick retex through Temod 'http://www.fileplanet.com/205418/200000/fileinfo/Texmod-v0.9b'. Included: Assault rifle LMG Pistol Grenade
Others will be added when i have a chance, but really hoping for a real modding tool. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for bringing it up "nortonbates". I just assumed everyone has used texmod at sometime or another, I am sorry. 1) Download texmod at the link provided or just use your friend google. 2) Unzip the .tpf file I provided. 3) start textmod and at the top click the folder then find your xcomgame.exe file in your install directory ....../binaries/win32/. 3) leave it in package mode 4) pick the folder in the center and browse to where you pit my file. 5) hit run
It is very lightwieght even though I doubled the texture size and only takes a minute to load.
