Litreally pasted it into my folder like instruction says and it worked. Idk about peeps below but backup both your "Binaries" folders just in case it doesnt work for you. Mod itself is totally worth, game looks great
I followed instructions, placed the files from XEW folder into the correct folder, booted up the game and it works just fine for me. No renaming DLL issues or crashes.
I renamed dxgi.dll (to d3d10.dll) but i get new error. Game (or win10?) cannot find gxgi.dll (and something about d3d11 or d3d10? i dont remember) Help, don't let the fire of nostalgia perish.
Achtung!
I found another solution. You just need to delete dxgi (you can just add .back to files, but I dontguarantee it.). The error has disappeared, but I am not sure whether there will be problems in the future due to this action?
Really looking forward to using this mod, but I've been having a problem where, if this mod is installed, the launcher where we choose either EU or EW just crashes before I have the time to make a choice and the game won't start at all. I've read the solutions here. I tried the thing that someone proposed with Nvidia Control Panel, and still got the same error. Any suggestions?
I tried to Install the Mod and Followed the Instructions but now my XCOM Won't even load and I've tried re configuring the files and everything and it still doesn't work now i'm just stuck with a broken game on my steam
The same here man and I can't find any fix at all. Dear author, please help us. Update 1: Ok bro, I fixed the issue. 1. First thing first, reinstall the game then install this mod. 2. if you have windows 10 and Nvidia card, install Nvidia Gaming Experience and update the driver. 3. Go to Nvidia Control Panel, in the manage 3D Settings > program setting, add the XEW executable then force it to use NVIDIA processor and click apply. Then you have it, 60 fps Xcom. Hope this helps you and others as well. Cheers.
I am getting the error "The Procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library c:\Windows\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll."
a quick google search revealed that changing my dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll *may* solve this unfortunately it only created some other errors mentioning different stuff for d3d10.dll.
at this point i am just confused help me out here please!
Edit: oh yeah i forgot to mention that the game does work after clicking "OK" on all the errors however it crashes every now & then with this mod.

Rename your dxgi.dll to d3d10.dll. No more errors and it seems to be working.
