You could try deleting this mod and see if that fixes it. I use KUDA AI and I don't have this issue. You can even edit the boarding pod macro.xml to see if different speeds fix it.
The only negative thing to this mod is that it makes boarding TOO EASY, pods are so fast that turrets cannot deal with them on time anymore. any way you could balance this? or you suggest i just dont use this mod ?
The reason why i use it even if it feels like cheating is because i want to make my ships board automatically out of sector, since ships will forever have trouble dealing with engines and turrets command, this mod is the only way to make oos auto boarding, except its too easy.
Check comments below on adjusting the boarding pod speed! Very easy to tweak the speeds to your liking. You can even edit the drag values and re-load your save without rebooting game.
Love the MOD. My order of, "Send in the boarding team!" normally send me off to make a cuppa tea 8-))... That aside. Any chance you can work your magic on just the cargo drones? Here's my scenario. I'm in an "L" class ship. I want to pick up a Navigation Beacon I left and don't need. I have to send out a cargo drone to pick it up... Zzzzzzzzzzzzz... After 10 mins the drone's still not returned to the ship. I can see it out of the cockpit window. It's then that I noticed that I must have knocked my "L" class ship into a staggering -7 reverse! And the drone just can't catch up 8-((...
Check out my X - Dangerous mod, it has all the cargo drones set to around 900 m/s (which you might find too fast). You can extract all 6 cargo drone .xml's and put them with the fasterBoardingPods one. I haven't made a standalone version of faster cargo drones cause I see a few on Steam Workshop, but I can if you want.
"You can extract all 6 cargo drone .xml's and put them with the fasterBoardingPods one." I stare blankly at this part of your reply and scratch my head??? 8-\\... If a Cargo Drone could do about 450 m/s, that'd probably be the sweet spot. Just a few mph over 1,000 mph 8-))... Thank you 8-))...
Sorry if confusing. If you download the xdangerous.zip and then go to xdangerous/assets/units/size_xs/macros/ you will see 6 ship_gen_xs_cargodrone .xml's. Drag those into the fasterBoardingPods/assets/units/size_xs/macros/ folder that contains the boarding pod xml. Reboot game, and your cargo drones will be around 1000 m/s. If you want halve that speed, double each forward drag value inside the xml.
<replace sel="//drag/@forward">0.16</replace> So you would want 0.32 for around 500 m/s.
No need to reboot game if you edit values that are already being replaced. Just save text file and load save.
Me thinks, I may just have been able to do it. There were about 4 of the files that needed the "0.16" changed to "0.32". I'll let you know if my PC blows up. Than again... ;-))...

For some reason my pods always overshoot their target and just sit nearby until the target repairs it's turrets and destroys them.
I use this mod and Kuda AI, could there be a conflict?
Pods seem to work fine with this mod disabled.
I'll try different speeds and see if that fixes it or if there's some other conflict.
