About this mod

Ship and combat overhaul. 8x weapon range and 10x ship speed with several gameplay tweaks for challenging AI combat. Save game compatible, Supports all DLC. Easy to edit for player preference.

Ship Changes:

- Ship top speed 10x higher over vanilla (2x higher in reverse). Travel drive removed on all ships. Boost removal is optional.
- Shield regeneration delay removed for all ships, but ships have around 3x slower shield regen.
- Smaller ships return to full shields faster than larger ships, but larger ships retain significant shield regen advantage.
- Some ships with weaker shields gain HP buff; Split have best hull in class for destroyer and battleship.

- Standardized engines, mass, and shields for various classes of ships across all factions.
- L and XL ships gain over 4x mass. S and M ships gain around 1x - 2x mass.
- Sentinel, Vanguard, and Raider all have same top speed, but retain different hull and mass.
- Sentinel class for L and XL gains an additional health buff.

- XL ships have increased turn rate, including Xenon.
- Xenon ships gain large HP buff, but have much lower shield regen.
- Xenon ships have top of the line top speed over most ship classes.
- Xenon S gains 2x cargo space, Scouts carry 75% less cargo, Barbarossa and Erlking carry 50% less cargo.

- Added support for ArgonMatt's XL ships on NexusMods/Steam Workshop
- Astrid (yacht) is upgraded to be competitive with other corvettes.
- Ship speed is dictated by cargo size, weapon count, and shields.
- High speed can keep you alive in heavy combat; sharp turns bleeding your speed can make you easy target practice.  

- Spacesuit top speed 8x higher (boost is kept). (standalone version: https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/859)
- Boarding pods gain 6x higher top speed. (standalone version: https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/863)
- L and XL ships have capability to boost far longer than before.
- M ships get a small duration buff to boost.

Weapon Changes:

- Weapon range increased 4x across the board + projectile lifetime doubled for most weapons.
- Many weapons gain 2x more damage.
- Asgard main weapon's damage nerfed, heat reduced, and its range is class leading. (Can slightly out-DPS Leviathan)
- Xenon L Graviton turret damage nerfed significantly, but it has excellent range and speed.
- Beam lasers get up to 2x range increase and doubled projectile speed.
- ARG Ion weapons do slightly more hull damage.

- Astrid primary weapons get a large damage buff to be competitive with corvettes. Increased heat buildup.
- Astrid beam turrets have slightly reduced range over other beam turrets because of its superior DPS.
- Kha'ak weapons gain a damage buff to be a slightly larger threat.
- Medium shard turret gets a large damage buff to compete with Flak.
- Gatling weapons and Plasma cannons have much lower heat output.
- Split Boson Lance has 10x lower heat output, 4x lower damage, and 0.5x reload speed.

- Large (XL) Asteroid draw distance is lowered from the vanilla distance of 450 km to 100km to hopefully fix low FPS issues in Asteroid Fields.

0.22: Xenon P, M, N get a small speed boost so they have a very small edge, just like the K and I already have.
Elite and Defense Drone get a small speed buff. Donia's speed and mass fixed.

0.23: Syntax fix in regions_definitions.xml for removing damage effects. Thanks to DeadAir for providing the .xml. Plutus gets a small top speed buff. Barbarossa and Teuta get a small speed nerf.

0.24: Further increased draw distance for enhanced long range combat and spotting.
Weapon fire visible up to 100km away, XL ships now visible up to 100km, L ships 60km, M ships 40km, and S/XS 30km (unchanged).
Minimal performance hit on my 2015 quad core which gets half the performance of a 5600X.
Player spacesuit gets a 4x speed buff. Erlking gets a small speed nerf.
Astrid primary weapon damage buffed, but its heat buildup is significantly higher.

0.25: Syntax error fixes for particle_effects.xml and renderparam_library.xml

0.26: Bug fix for rare occasion for ships to temporarily disappear far away. Kha'ak weapons gain damage increase. Medium shard turret gains small damage increase.

Shard turret gains an additional 20% damage buff. Shard weapons and Medium Bolt turrets gain 20% damage increase.
Medium Pulse turret gains 6% range and projectile speed Split Mk4 engines gain a few more percent performance increase.

0.30: Added support for Hoshi Yaki XL Carrier and Tiger XL Split Battleship. Taipan Battleship hull nerfed a bit.

Missiles reworked with their mass being reverted to vanilla values. DLC missiles now supported. Range is significantly higher, with their top speed 10x over vanilla speeds. Missile lifetime 5x shorter.

0.41: Missile lock range fixed.

0.42: Boost duration for L, and XL ships significantly increased. Small and Medium ship shield regeneration speed doubled.

0.43: Added support for ArgonMatt's Agamemnon Battleship. Fixed mass typo on Zeus Vanguard. Condor gains 15% mass. Odysseus Sentinel gains 19% mass.
Odysseus Vanguard and E gain 16% mass. Stork gains 30% mass. Behemoth Vanguard loses 9% mass. Osprey gains 15% mass.

0.44: Astrid, Barbarossa, Teuta, Vulture and L Miners gain 2x mass. Beam lasers get a 66% range reduction. Cthonios E loses some mass.
Dragon gains 15% mass. Osprey mass fix. 

0.45: Burst Ray range nerfed. Nemesis gains a bit of mass.

0.50: Burst Ray range lowered by 6% and its bullet velocity now matches beam lasers.
Boson Lance does 4x less damage and has 10x less heat buildup. 0.5x Reload.
Discoverer, Guillemot, Nodan, Kestrel, Pegasus, and Rapier lose 75% cargo capacity.
Nimcha gains 20% mass. Nodan loses 20% mass. Falcon Sentinel loses 20% mass.
Takoba loses 15% mass. Xenon S gains 2x storage. Radar range reduced.
Removed more fog for higher FPS boost in asteroid fields.
