After one of recent updates (my bet is on UI mod) there is no option to add the ship to custom tab. It worked perfectly before that. And it seems to wirk right because i can set the tabs as needed...

Cut & paste from one of kuertee pages: Developer note: All other mods that use Mod Support APIs' (MSAPIs) Lua Loader need to be updated With 7.5's new method of handling custom Lua files, MSAPIs' Lua Loader no longer work. The developer of these mods need to update their mods as detailed in UI Extension's readme and in UI Extensions 7.5 beta Git page. Examples of these mods are: Forleyor's InfoCentre, Mycus's Custom Tabs, etc.
Hi, A quick heads up, the 7.5 update is not working for me. No extra tab are showing up, and the owned property "button" now does nothing. I have other mods enabled. So when I get time, I will turn them off and see if I can get this working. (I have used this mod in 7.0.)
I'm running into this too, and yes I updated the UI extensions & hud mod, but the other required mod Mod Support APIs, hasn't been updated yet, so I'm guessing that's the problem?
HI, I had A version of "7.5 beta kuertee mod pack" installed, but to be on the safe side, I downed the latest version: still did not fits the problem. Now, I kind of got it working, but this is kind of weird! I am guessing there is some sequencing problem. So I load the game and it does not work. I then go and change the "Protected UI Mode", which causes a "reloading UI..." and then the Custom Tab mod appears to work. -> I get the three extra tabs, and the Owned Property button works. Changing the "Protected UI mode" from off to on or on to off, or off to off, all does the job. It appears to be the reloading UI that get the mod working. I have not tried adding ships to any tab, or saving reload, etc. I will keep messing around, to see if I can find out anything else.
Edit: Quickly tried to add a ship to a tab; could not find the menu item.
@Mycu, yes! The latest version seems to have fixed the issue and it now loads correctly, thank you again, for taking the time to update this mod and sort out the remaining issues is such a timely fashion, it's deeply appreciated.
I do not have the menu item to Move the ship/fleet to the custom tab.
I do have the three new tabs (A, B, and C) and the Owned Property tab works. So first look, looks like it works, but does not.

EDIT/Update: I kind of have it working. I 7zip my Documents\Egosoft\X4\XXXXXXXXX directory and then deleted it. I then started a "Custom start" game and it worked.
Now the "Kind of" part. 1) So I loaded in my old save, and it does not work. quit out, 2) load in custom start game (that worked before loading the old game)-> now it does not work either. 3) delete all files (XML files/not the directories) Documents\Egosoft\X4\XXXXXXXXX directory 4) load in custom start game (that worked before loading the old game)-> now it work again.
I will restore the xml file one by one and find out which one is causing the problem. The file that cuases the mod to stop working is uidata.xml
I had missing tabs and on other occasions I was missing all property from the default menu, the following steps may have fixed it:
I removed the previous Custom tabs folder from the extensions folder I loaded the save without the mod and then saved the game I quit the game Copied the latest Custom tabs in the extension folder I started the game and loaded the save I went to the extension options for Custom tabs and I ticked "clear data" and pushed the button It works now, I have 9 tabs active.
Hi Mycu, in case you are not already aware of it, there is a typo in the "Disable vanilla tabs", it says unasigned instead of unassigned. Of course is not a problem for me, I am just mentioning it in case you missed it. Thank you for your work.
Hi Brinnie, if you encounter missing tab again - pm me debug log - might be worth looking into. 'Reset' button is for a reason of course and it should work even without a need to make a clean save.
Still hoping that MSAPIs mod will get an update soon and map hotkeys get functional.

Just for the record:
After removing, installing and resetting Custom Tabs, I enabled 9 tabs (as I like in my setup) and as I expected they were empty, but when I next loaded the game the tabs showed my previous ships assignments.
Unfortunately it doesnt work for me. Im using this in combination with Interworld and I dont have any custom menus at all. I have the steam version of the game, would that be the reason ?
I have a bit of a strange thing. I don't know if it is directly related to this mod or not. Let's say i put a trader ship in a custom tab and a want to use trade with it. If i in that process right click a station in the 'stations and all ships / property owned' tab, then the trader ship "loses focus" meaning that right clicking said station doesn't present the correct trading options. In short, the ship is unselected. However, clicking on any of the other tabs like 'stations and subordinates' fleets and so on, does not unselect the ship in the custom tab.
Just wanted to post and say thank you for taking the time to create this mod, it makes things so much easier being able to organize my ships into easy to reference lists.
In end game this is an absolute must to keep things organized and lets me spend more time playing and less time hunting for specific ships and roles within my sprawling empire.

As reported by others, the owned property button does nothing, no tabs are viewable, and the right click options are missing.
(Note that the final step is the trick to both get the tabs to show AND get the command back again to assign a ship to a custom tab)
