Does it take awhile for the game to load once installed? Mine stops at 43% for a new game and 42% for loading a saved game? Are there any known compatibility issues with other mods? I'm running 3.0 right now
I wanted to get back into X4 after a long time. For this I copied my old backup (V3.3) back. It used to run without problems, but now the loading process stops at 43% (new game) and at 42% for a save game. Caused by this mod. As soon as I remove it, X4 starts (new game as well as old save games).
If it works as in Rebirth (I was the first to remove highways there), there is no issue. It just makes an empty macro so hw are not loaded at all. So any update is irrelevant since hw are all listed separately
I also had an issue with your mod, as it blocked the loading of the game. I managed to fix the problem on my end by modifying your scripts.
Would it be ok for you if I post a link to my modified version? Or, if you prefer, I can send you the files directly if you want to test them and publish them yourself?
Hi Neloth, would you mind posting the file if you didn't hear back from the author? I'm experiencing the same problem and I have no idea how to fix it.
EDIT: Or, if you could just tell me how you fixed it, that would be awesome too.
Just started a new VRO game and it says to use this mod, but for some reason this mod prevents me from loading or even starting new games, it just stops at 35% while loading
Tested with and without NoSuperHighways and when its disabled the game starts up ok
Technically true, all experiments to date agree with the statement that the universe is flat. All attempts to find a curvature to the universe have instead reinforced the concept that the universe is indeed flat.
The mod apparently rearanges stations and more importantly jumpgates. Most of them aren't aligned with the line that connects them to another system, being positioned a few kilometers away from the gate itself. Some seem to be bugged as when I travel through one it drops me off in deep space, messing up the whole system as the area where the stations are will shrink down a lot, nevermind the hours of travel to go back to known space if you don't have teleportation unlocked. This happened while I was on my ship and the AI was flying, I didn't try to see if the bug can be recreated when the player is flying the ship.
For linux users: Mod folders named with capitals cannot be read by the game on Linux. If you replace caps with smalls it works fine without having to change the .xml. Just rename the mod folder to ./extensions/nosuperhighway and it will work.

The only question that remains is what happened in the meantime and why the mod no longer works in the original.
Did you experience any issues or whatnot?
Thanks

That is a vannila game bug. It was fixed prior to 3.0 but has returned with the upgrade.
