With this mod a timer starts after an EMP is triggered. Player is given time (base is 140 seconds) to finish his job and fly away to a safe distance (40km) before security forces figures out who's behind the attack. Having to rush in a spacesuit should be fun.

The better the reputation with attacked station/ship owner - the longer the time to escape.
There is some base chance (20%) that security will not attempt to look for an offender. Additionally if a player ship is docked during stealing - base chance to avoid detection raises to 60%. This base chance is modified with relations, so e.g. having +10 with attacked object owner increases those odds by additional 10%. So it's generally better/safer to steal from factions that have better relations with player, cause they trust you more.
If player fails to escape within the given time - his reputation will suffer (-3 rep). Using teleport during escape attempt causes an automatic failure.
I highly recommend using this mod with kuertee's Crime Has Consequences mod. Apart from the great features of CHC mod - in case of failure on escaping, player will be given a fine which, if unpaid, may result in the player ship being impounded. So it gives additional motivation to escape safely or try to increase odds to avoid security forces.
