Hi there somehow its not working. im using the API mod also but no contect or com menu there. Edit sudenly it startet to work. it needed time to trigger i think. or they had to shoot at the ship and after that i was abel to com then. didnt saw the contex menu yet. i wil report later
I'm so happy I stumbled on this. The amount of times I have a Barbarossa camped out in Bright Promise only to have MIN just delete my target with a dozen torpedo bombers was too high. Now I wont have to worry about as much about my marines getting blown out of the galaxy.
If you go to 22:37 in this video, I'm using your mod to help with the boarding. Is there any way you can tweak the mod so that it's not so difficult to manage MANY ships firing on the boarding target at the same time? I get this problem a lot, where I have to request over and over and over and over again and sometimes they still destroy it because there's just too many.
Also, I don't know if your script can have multiple pending requests or if sending a request to ship 2 before ship 1 acknowledges will cancel out the first one. Or how pausing might affect things. Please advise.
It should be possible to implement, although atm just added to my todo list. I will investtigate it next time working with this mod's code, but no ETA though.
Doesnt work on stations. I comm'd the managers of stations around my boarding target and they dont stop shooting. Also doesnt work on factions that I have no friendly reputation with. Like all the corporations of FOCW. Their ships always refuse to stop shooting.
The other really retarded thing thats probably the fault of the game and not this mod is that they didnt attack it AT ALL for like 5 minutes right up until the point where I began the boarding operation. It was crippled without engines and in range of the stations, and I was taking out the turrets one by one and they did NOTHING until the boarding began. God I hate this game so much. Whenever I try to do anything theres some broken buggy stupid mechanic surprise BS like this.
I think it's intended for it to not work on non-allied factions. Everything else you described does suck though. To add to it, I find that telling allied craft to hold back only works briefly, and 30 seconds later they're attacking again :/

2. in the description it says npc pilots "can" refuse. do they always refuse, or is it a % chance they say yes/no?
So in order to get a positive reaction - you need to destroy at last 2/3 of target turrets and reputation to asking pilot faction must be at last +10.
