This is more of a question/request... do u think it’s possible to modify # of ships that can dock to a craft?

So I have a problem with Finding the right crew in general, and this is more of a mod request that seems to be up your alley.

If i select crew from the ship maker and get a random crew, i typically wind up firing off about 50% - 90% of them, im picky.
I don't like helmets, i don't like bugs where they have black faces and white arms, and many others...

So the obvious choice would be to hire them individually right? well there are many times i can sit around or move around at a station and have literally "No - One" show up anywhere that is hire able.

A simple fix for this would be to make the amount of people wandering around on a station actually related to the amount of crew it has available, something like 5-25% ? I would appreciate even this much, though if you want to make something better read on...

Another option, and im not sure if the game supports this or not. Would be to add in a selector of sorts at the Ship Building Crew panel. Perhaps tick marks for the various features, when a company hires through a hiring place that do set requirements as well IRL, so why can't we?

Now i will probably miss some but to get started here are some tick boxes I've noticed would fit, Oh and im going to skip over the black with white arms because i think that might be rather hard to implement a fix for.

Young / Old (Some have smooth skin , some have wrinkled)
    Helmet / No Helmet
    Male / Female / Either
Black / White /Don't Care /???? /???? ( ?? in case you can do something about the bugs)
    Visor (glasses) / No-visor / Don't care

Those above would probably be a great start.. I know its asking a lot which is why i suggested the simpler fix first.

Well, in regards to having more NPC's around, someone's already made a mod like that ;)
      https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/96

Just open it up, and change the amount of NPC's wandering around to whatever you feel like (I believe it currently defaults to max 100, and the amount of workforce at a station seems to have some influence on that as well)

In regards to the 2nd thing... Well, I've tried mucking around with that. It's easy enough to change the weighting of the general outfit they wear, but stuff like helmets and such are defined separately and require a hell of a lot more mucking around :/ And as for introducing something into the ship build/refit, that would require UI modding which a) I've never touched before, and b) from what I've read on other mods, due to a slight error in the game itself that Egosoft have to rectify, isn't really viable at the moment

I think this is something that enough people are wanting that Egosoft may very well implement officially... However that probably won't even be up for consideration until later on down the track after they've dealt with all the major bugs, and probably brought in the first expansion pack (which is supposed to be early next year anyway)

But definitely give that mod I linked a look, not only does it make it a little easier to find various npc's you might want to hire, it also just makes the platforms look more alive anyway

How exactly are you meaning? Aside from them having the same max crew sizes as listed (usually they don't have a full crew though)?
