Hopefully this will help the entire galaxy from getting ran over. I find the AI empires' efforts to drive back the Xenon seriously lacking, and I've become concerned they might not make it throught the first week from the start of the game.
How about one that lowers their station's HP? Would that be possible? It's not hard or fun to kill stations. You just sit in your destroyer, and keep holding down the mouse button for like half an hour. I would be fine with that only taking 5 minutes instead, honestly.
This is only half working in my game. I have XR, Terran and SVE ship packs and one of them is buffing the Xenon shields by 25 % over vanilla. When I installed this mod it halved the hull (which is great) but leaves the shields at 25% over vanilla instead of halving them too. I tried changing the load order to load this mod last, after all other ship packs, but the effect is the same: hull is reduced but shields aren't. I tried renaming the mod folder in the extension directory so that it was alphabetically last after all others, and then I added a "dependency" statement to the content.xml of this mod to make it depend on and load after XR. But neither worked. Any suggestions as to how to ensure that the hull values for the Xenon ships come from this mod instead of others?
Edit: I extracted the mod and it looks like you don't change the shield strength but set a max on the shield recharge rate? I've been playing with the mod and it seems to be helping a lot. So maybe its just the mod description that needs clarification to say that the regen rate is dropped so that even if the Xenon have humongous shields once you burn them down they won't recharge as quickly.
To confirm - Running with Faction Enhancer + VRO - Class I was brought down significantly (Hull: 2,650K to 170K) After running SETA overnight on a new save Hatkivahs was not overrun!
