    Still works well. I upped the range to 12km, speed to 220 and force to 10 which works well, so it is possible to rob stations now without turrets and drones attacking you even if you hack the security and turret systems. I know this was reported to Egosoft as a bug a while ago but seems nothing's been done with that. Some say that because Paranid's use missile turrets they are not affected by the hack, but what's the point then.

    At any rate, at 10-12km range out station still turns hostile but you are free to tractor your loot. If you get within range before the station goes blue you will be fired upon though.

    Just a head's up, Vortex keep telling me that I am out of date due to how you did the version number of your mod. the mod is 1.02 but after installation it goes to 102 instead, causing it to think that I have an outdated version. See if you can fix that minor issue.

    Awesome mod! I suggest naming the download file "Better Tractor Beam" so that the folder they stick in extensions is actually the name of the mod.

    One problem I discovered, sometimes crystals fling themselves up to 1000KM away, like they're weightless or something. I guessed it might be due to the force being on 5? Testing it, I set it down to 2 and the problem happens a lot less. YMMV

    After playing with it for a bit, I like having the range at 5000, force at 2, and maxspeed of 300.

      Force was set at 10 in vanilla, it's why I lower it. I'll test and update

      As Spacecop said, the force was at 10 in vanilla. If you do much crystal hunting, take a look at the map after you've collected a bunch. Chances are you'll find crystals have been scattered all over the place that you didn't even notice. This is vanilla behavior that happens without any mods.

      ye but even when i try with force 1 or even 0.5 they get flung all over the place.

      High velocity + low force = orbiting, that's physic 101 for you. I suggest a force of between 600 - 900, try and see what suits you

    I was wondering if I can change the sound effect of the tractor beam because I find the original one quite annoying!

    Would you consider making 5, and 10 both unlockable upgrades in the research map? upgradable tractor beams you research than build and install respectively

    I've been fiddling with the loose version to see if i could make a "black hole magnet" but cans are bouncing around like mad. Anyone have any luck with settings?

    Been trying with 50.000 (50 km) range, force of 1 and speed 100.
    But they still bounce around like mad.

    hell i'll even take it if someone could make a setting that works for 10 or 20km.
