in version 3.2 this is not working, I downloaded yesterday, enable it and play, luckily I found 3 building storage very close to each other, perfect place to test the mod, I call my shuyaku and issue the collect all, drones came out, load and return but with the same, painfully to watch, behavior, even use the F3 view to "follow" the drone but nothing, they fly to the entrance of the drone launch pad and slowly enter and even get glitched, so damn frustrating....
That would be fantastic. Sure, there are more immersive things than fighters materializing and later disappearing next to their carrier, but with the current state of docking/undocking and subordinate behaviour in that regard carriers are beyond useless imho. Why give even non-carrier type ships one (1) docking port and room for up to a dozen or two fighters if not even one fighter is able to reliably dock in a reasonable amount of time?
Could the drones be made to stick to the ship and then if they do not enter alone, will the function of the mod work? because seeing the drone disappear without more takes out of the game a little
I could add a timer based version that only scoops after X amount of time, but I'd need to come up with a good way to determine when that cutoff should be
The mod is a good initiative while we wait for the horrid AI guides in the ships to be fixed, since it is not only the drones, if you put a fighter to land in a miner with the port at the bottom you hit with the helmet of ship infinitely and the mother ship does not move waiting for that ship to land, for me the perfect time would be for drones to visually stick to the mother ship and then self-couple with your mod that way you do not see how they disappear and aesthetically not would be trouble
Great Mod simple functional and works perfectly for me. finally my Large ships Drones actually work even when i am on the ship and if they glitch out boom sent right back into my ship and everything continues as it should. Thank you this now makes the micro manager in me Happy Endorsed and Voted
