I got sick of having to tongue-kiss stations to scan leaks. Especially since some of them can spawn inside of objects still. So I increased the scan range for leaks. I then decided to recreate a mishmash of Signal Leak Hunter and Signal Reader. It will keep a count of remaining leaks in the bottom left as well as highlighting all leaks...to an extent. There seems to be a limit to how many can be highlighted at once, but the game appears to prioritize nearby ones, so it's not a big deal.
As of version 2.0 there is now the 'MegaCheat' option in the script. You'll have to scroll down a bit in show_leaks_MD to find the variable for it, but it defaults to on. What it does is iterate through the list of data leaks available on the station, unlock all the blueprints you have the required research for, and destroy the leaks.
Installation Extract this zip file to one of the following locations: Documents\X4\<numbers>\extensions (recommended) GOG Galaxy\Games\X4 Foundations\extensions Steam\steamapps\common\X4 Foundations\extensions You will likely have to create the extensions folder, in either location, yourself if this is your first mod.
Uninstallation Simply delete the data_leak_modifications folder
Notes You can tweak the ratio/max leaks in signal_leaks.xml, and the scan range in parameters.xml. If you don't find any leaks at a station after adding this mod, hop to a new sector. This isn't something I can easily, or possibly at all, fix.
