  2. Just wanted to thank for this amazing mod! Keeping my ships repaired is so much easier now since there's no "go repair yourself" command.

    One suggestion though: The ships are repaired, even if they aren't in the same sector and far away. If you could fix that, that would be amazing.

    This is quality of life mod, this function had to be in the game from the start.

    After they repair, do they re-dock ?
    I don't want them flying around when they don't need to. I want them to repair and then dock back up.
    Is that implementation possible ?  I am using 5.10 game with all 3 dlcs.

    many thanks for this very useful mod. It improves M-ship based fleets so much. It lets the Fury of your other mod "Sapphire Ships" really shine ;) The Fury has there the nice additional role as "repair/support" ship for a small fleet of M. My favourite combination is 1-3 Fury with 3-7 Havoc. A read alternative to L/XL ship combinations.
    What sucked for me most with big fleets in unmodded game: the time it takes to build them up and to PLAY them.
    And then on top the time for working around and recovering from the many bugs around fleet. Ships that block each other during landing which leads to a deadlock situation and a blocked L ships doing nothing but waiting that landing finalizes (which does not) or ships that do not get managed to actually land, because they try instantlich to cross the ship through hull, which does not work ...To sum up, a big time saver for me improving the overall fun factor with this game.
    I hope you keep the passion to improve this game further with brilliant mods. Loving also many of your other contributions. Cheers m8, excellent work, thumbs up !

    Question: maybe I missed or overlooked it. Is there a possibility to visualize, that a playership is being repaired, e.g. by
    - an entry in the ship statistic for repair like: "Repairing: <Ship Name> (<Ship ID>): xxx%Time left: <xxx> sec"
    - using a different color for the ship icon in the map

    Additional Ideas:
    - manual mode: making selectable, which ship to repair and with how many of free repair drones
    - automatic mode with different modes of operations:
    - repair all damaged ships with all drones one by one
    - send only one drone per damaged ship
    - different work priorities
    - most or least damaged ship 1st
    - nearest or farest damaged ship 1st
    Just a few ideas to give options to the player for different situations .. but maybe its crazy coding effort.
    Sorry, I can't judge whats better doable or not doable at all ;)

      Uh, sorry for the "late" response, didn't take a look at this mod for a while. Hm, the script was just intended the make fighters generally less of a pain to use, investing alot of time into refining it to a per ship basis, manually enabling/disabling this behavior or informing in detail about it seems rather wasteful, as vanilla repairs happen somewhat similarly with about the same level of info. So i'd rather spend that time on different projects. Hope u understand. ^^

      Yup, docked or undocked shouldn't matter.

    will this effect the AI ships at all ?

      Nope. npc faction's ships rarely fly in squads where the leader carries repair drones and they're also not assigning fighters to stations, so adding it for the other factions wouldn't make much sense, if that's what you mean.

      is there any way you could add a cost to this? I love the idea, and even though the cost of repairs is almost negligible even on heavily damaged fighters, i think without incurring some cost it'd feel too cheaty for me.

      I'd be fine with paying up to 100k for a full repair on the average fighter if it meant I could save myself the micromanaging it to base andback

      Possible... yes. Practical and easy to balance, no. This is more of a small convinience mod. You could however just pay the crew for doing a good job and try my getting paid mod. :)
