Just trying to understand the 'tweaking' element of this. Ive opened the 'spawn folder' and can see the key word chance, but no easy way to identify which crystal is which, and what the 'weight' values referring to?
So far with COH so good, though ive now unfortunately noticed a much greater exploit....Spacefly eggs!, At least with Crystal mining, you had to actual DO something to earn your reward, Spacefly eggs litter the entire mining area's, can be hoovered up in minutes by just flying at them, and instant millions rewarded for caviar, unlike what the description say's (has to be sold on the black market) can it seems be sold everywhere!
If you could reduce the value of caviar to 1/3 of its current value, that would be appreciated and put an end to the easy exploits in-game.
Hi, This MOD is so important cos it really does destroy the game from the off having such an exploit, yet i actually like Crystal mining and find it immersive especially at the start, so much needed and a big thank you! however.....
Will it work fine for the coming 4.0 + Cradle of humanity DLC this week ??
And how does it compare with the current state of X4?
Thanks, ill give it ago, especially as we can adjust the rarity, excellent feature.
As for your encounters mod, that looks interesting as well. Just wish the were no 'spawns' in-game and Khaak / Xenon were treated and appeared as any other Pirate style faction
Apolgies for the delay in answering I'd not realised comments were awaiting... It was a pleasure! Thank you for your compliment. I have just uploaded a new version (v1.2) which is 3.10 (BETA) + Split DLC compliant and contains further balancing between safe/hazardous/xenon regions of space. Interestingly, since the original mod release, Egosoft have nerfed crystal mining towards what Crexit gives you... I'd like to say I influenced Egosoft but I'm too modest! :D
Thnx Moonrat - started a new save yesterday and instead of common routine: easily mine few mln on crystals and proffit - had to diversify my early income activities with cristal harvesting being not the main one like in the past.
DO I have to increase the "chance" values slightley to make it a little bit easier? I'm quite new to X4 and most crystals I find break entirely, when I shoot them with a light laser. SO I like to have some more crystals to appear, but not the way it is in vanilla.
Apologies for the delay in answering I'd not realised comments were awaiting... Generally speaking increasing "chance" or "weight" values makes things happen more often within the game or same group of objects respectively ... "cooldown" values however work in the opposite direction and a larger value will delay stuff happening. If you can give me the line numbers (and version of Crexit you are running) I can confirm what effect any changes you have made are likely to have.
Apologies for the delay in answering I'd not realised comments were awaiting... Looking at the files within"Crystal Finder" there's no conflict, so yes Crexit / Crystal Finder should be compatible with each other. Let me know if you think there's an issue however.
I have to admit that I'm very guilty of crystal mining, at least in my first play through. But this takes away the fun so I started a new game and this time only doing missions, trades, auto mining and unleashed a war with the Paranid. Much better.
Thanks to you crystal mining is now a possible option to get some credits without destroying the gameplay. That's worth an endorsement.
Hello i have tested your great mod and i realy like it because that cheaty mining craft but it is incompatible with the info center or/and with g work mod. can you mage a gwork compatible? Thanks and cheers
What version of "G_Work_Around" are you using? It's now at v0.35 and it appears that there is a compatibility dependency between some versions and mods which use it... It appears other people are currently having issues with "Info Center" and so bearing in mind how simple my mod is (and it doesn't touch UI) I can't imagine the problem probably lies there?
Have you tried removing "Crexit" and then see what happens? I'll try and test here over the coming days but not knowing exactly what other mods you have and what versions will make it difficult for me to replicate your issue.

I do however more worries about the amount of work left on my "Encounters" mod which will no doubt be somewhat behind the curve...

Thanks for the mod =)
Thank you Moonrat.

Now I'm just missing IEX for X4 ;)

Also, with the Split DLC mods havent been loading from the Documents folder, have you encountered this or has anyone else?

If I've nerfed it too much please let me know.

There is no ui, there is no md. You have your issue with something else.
Please anyone who thinks there's still an issue please don't hesitate to post.
