It's not working properly, the famous reatext appears when we talk to the managers.
It appears like this:
= ReadText1266-101 = 100000 1 = ReadText1266-102 = 600000 = ReadText1266-103 = 100000 3 = ReadText1266-104 = = ReadText1266-105 = = ReadText1266-106 = ... and even if we choose one, he does nothing. Anyone with the same problem or can be incompatibility with another mod?
I've had this issue with another mod called HolomapInfoColors or whatever. What fixed the issue is either removing the mod or using the mod in loose format. I originally tried using the packed mod with cat files that are supposed to be usable for Win7 users. Switching to loose file format resolved that error for me. I'm on Win10 2019 LTSC.
Actually you can just swap the files in the source folder with the cat/dat files. I include the loose files with all of my work because of issues like this.
Ive the same problem with the readtext stuff. The mod is inside the extension folder of the game (not the documents) and Ive also tried the suggested loose format. Result is the same.
Well then here's where it gets hard, as i don't have windows 7 and can't test any attempt at a fix. Let me upload a file that has just the raw text entries instead of going through a T file...... Wait is your game in English or another language. If it's another language Try going into the t folder, renaming the file 0001-L044 to 0001 and going into the file and deleting the id='44' section of <language id='44'>
Hello I had the same problem as you. I modified the mod and added a t file for German language derived from the english one and made the translation for it. I also adjusted ext_01 and ext_01.dat for it to work. It fixed the problem for me :). If the mod author want I can give him the files.
Can you make this work the other way too? That is, if a station needs credits, they automatically take it from my balance up to the set budget. I have stations that I run at a loss just to quickly and easily restock my shipyards and it's annoying to have to constantly transfer them money.
My self sufficient shipyard's manager wants to have 5 billion credits for buying absolutely nothing. Redundant my ***, maybe in 3 years or smth. Thanks a lot for this mod, it really helps.
But, for non-english language users - you must rename the t-file 0001-L044.xml to 0001.xml. And you need to change (in the renamed t-file): <language id='44'> to <language> Without the id part; Best use notepad to do it. Or you create your own language dependend t-file(s).
i've tried the 1.4, and i'm unable to change the account limit - i talk to the station manager and they say "it's at 1m"; i then try to raise that by any amount, then talk to them again and it's still listed as 1m. i also get that dialog option when talking directly with a pilot
FYI to all new people: Mod is abandoned without the max integer value fix as pointed in the forum thread.
Looked at it but this xml editing is just completely stupid as you have multiple vars to use and they round 1000000 to 1 and not updating funds and using exact is limited to 2,147,483,647 but, ingame it also uses cents so max is actually 21,474,836.47 (21m) and hence it changes to negative when trying to raise the station budget. Default behavior of 4x operating budget is absolutely retarded as stations already want hundreds of millions in their account while using only a fraction of that.
Pick your poisen: default retarded behavior or install this mod and accept you can not have a larger then 21m budget untill some one who has a clue fixes it. Good luck
Huh.. i don't remember that... did have an issue where i'd get some weird floating point values in my tax system, might have an idea to fix the 21m limit though. I was on hiatus finishing college, vacation, life, ff14 you know...
Also, for some reason these weren't coming to my inbox.
Edit:Alright i've fixed it. uploading it in a bit.
If i set a budget via the map > information panel (ie set to 80M), and then speak to the manager via the menu you've provided and up the value listed there to 10M, then manager should transfer cash when it hits 90M? I ask because it seems to be transferring everything over 10M, which is terribly irritating for anything with an expected budget over 20 million (like a shipyard).
Love this, thanks, great functionality that that should just be there... but, I seem to have an issue where it doesn't leave enough money in station accounts and I'm constantly having missions appear to send money to my managers (usually around 400k lower than the games suggested minimum). Any ideas?
No, standard game, no beta. I'd prefer that functionality was there but fixed to be honest, it's very useful! So useful in fact, I'd rather it stayed in broken than be removed :)
Same Issue here. is there a way we can set the budget Limit with a timer. So we set the budget at 1mil and any profits over that after an hour gets transfered to player. I dont know if thats possible tho

edit: Ah ok, i see what happened. File i uploaded was wrong. fix it in a bit with a change that adds a check if it's a manager or not.

Thank you ; )
Now a very important thing that is not in the description, is safe if removed? It won't break the save?
It's important to know that we don't have surprises!
And this mod has been available for quite a while on the Egosoft forums
