i understand some people are angry they can't use ventures on a "modified" game after all it's a single player game problem is you send a ship on a other players game if that game is modified it can case serious problems on the server or on both games that's why it's only possible to send Vanilla game
their is not a single videogame in existence that can work on 2 different versions across a network personally i don't find this game that bad in it's current Vanilla state
I d/led and checked out the "Savefile 1.5 Vanilla.Venture.Advanced Save". The issues are that the Venture console shows nothing even when selected (yes, Venture in enabled, savegame in the proper location, and I chose the right ship for it). I see the ship docked in the venture platform but the console shows just the screen. Also, when I select the ship and the station for the Venture mission, the ship flies out and comes back with mission unsuccessful. I cannot choose any individual missions in the Venture console.
I have no idea what the problem can be. but their are some thing's you can check.
1. you must have absolute vanilla game (that means no mods, no alternations and no "modified" on your load screen. 2. you must turn off uncompressed save or the savegame would be considered modified 3. you must have a legit copy (even GOG version request to be registration on the Egosoft website so you can login into the game server. 4. you need to dock a ship S/M into the venture pad before you can send it off to a mission (can be strange for lot of people) 5. their are 2 types of missions 1 fighting/2 trading each of those request the right ship 6. when you see a water bubble around the ship you can it's on a mission you can also see the timer in the console
