The idea is great, I would rather manage my fleet inside the game world and away from the map ui that becomes a performance issue later in the game
The game could use a different ui just for commands that does not suffer from the same performance issues as the map ui later in the game
Various activities that require the player to be in the map ui would be great to have alternative access inside the game world for those same activities
Thank you for this mod, will try it and hope more things get added to it over time that would facilitate management of the fleet and empire from inside the game world directly with npc character interactions
An idea would be to add a comms device like the phone device interface in gta5, with functions to give orders to captains, managers and so on directly without the lag issues of the map ui
If it could make late game performance viable for the gamer, it would give more longevity to the game
As most games get unbearable in the late game with lag, even after taking all the measures to reduce the issues. The only real way that has been effective so far is to not use satellites, so we somehow need that information locally on a heads up display toggle or to a specific system that is isolated from the entire universe to isolate the performance problem
but that is probably a huge undertaking, possibly not possible as it is all tied into as a large network, and you cannot possibly connect your signals and alerts if they are not actively watching. So you as a player are forced to do it manually, or a mod like this could allow you to set a specific pilot to be a scout that would act as the signal isolated from the entire map network, but just scouting the system locally for what you direct as his mission.
Thank you again, hope more mods, modders work on this type of mod idea, would be great to have more direct npc commands inside the game world

This mod doesn't seem to support https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/382 extended conversation menu, which is fine
It seems to interfere with https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/381 apologize for attack, as well, replacing its dialogue option
