Insane26 i want to take permission from you to use your best practices for my global mod. Your work will save me a lot of time, otherwise I will have to do a similar job myself. I will mention your achievements in my fashion.
Put the mod under the root (not documents) extensions folder. It shows up in the extensions menu in game, but the ships aren't available from shipbuilders, and the blueprints don't show up at any of the faction reps either.
Before your latest update, it didn't work even though I did have it in the root extensions folder. It's up and running now though, although I don't see any battleships flying around yet. Edit: Oops, there's one. Nevermind that part.
PS These ships definitely just need more weapons. So much unused space on the surface! I've only tried the Nomad, I'd give it at least 8 more L turrets, out on the wings.
Also needs some kind of primary weapon system to match the range of destroyer main guns, either a cluster of several or one really big one. Maybe make it super powerful, but set rotation speed to 0 so the player has to aim the whole ship?
X4 v1.5: If the mod's activated but you can't buy the ships be sure that you put it in the X4 root (\extensions) folder (e.g. Steam\steamapps\common\X4 Foundations\), NOT the save folder one in Documents\.
Running Win 7 with the CAT/DAT in the main X4 extensions folder and they not only show up for sale at the shipyard, but the AI are also building them. It works!
The mod includes special created "jobs" which will spawn/build the ships as patrol-ships for some sectors. Since these jobs are new ones instead of edits of the originals, these jobs should work with other mods like FoCaW as well. So... yes they should be spawned/build.
Hi, just want to know if there is a way to make those battleships unique for the player, I don't want the AI tu use them. And also if you could tell me how to change their stats because I'm not sure how to do this.
