FYI: I'm using the latest version available on Github.
Unfortunately I'm having extremely inconsistent results using the mod for regular trading runs. It cannot seem to identify readily obvious profitable trades even with all wares assigned and maximum distance settings. It's missing obvious intra-system trades, even, like Teldanium.
My next experiment is to see if the game's current Autotrade feature is remotely competitive, but it suffers from the "not enough jumps" problem, still, so I'm not hopeful.
There seems to be something broken with 7.02, unless I'm not understanding how it works.
I have two traders, a M-size and L-size. If I assign "DeadTater" to the M-size and leave everything as default, it goes off and starts trading random items. If I do the same with the L-size, it just sits there "calculating parameters".
I looked in the trade filter and saw a station selling Weapon Components and a station buying those. For some reason my L-size trader just sat there until I turned off the "auto wares" option and manually added the Weapon Components. Not sure why "auto wares" works for M-size but not L-size.
Great mod. Seems to be much better than Euclid's AutoTrader mod, which is kinda cheaty since it allows ships to just teleport from place to place for the best deals and know all trade information. In contrast, this mod is so much better, more configurable, and the fact that it can be set as a default behavior for ships instead of requiring the player to contact the captain and tell them to autotrade is great.
DeadAirRT has been maintaining TaterTrader on their own fork. I recommend using their version. DeadAirRT's GitHub Link: https://github.com/DeadAirRT/TaterTrader
Hi, can anyone explain how the "Onwed station buy/sell mod" is working? e.g. Do I have to set "Onwed station buy mod"below 100 so my Traders prefer to buy material in my stations? And for sell mod i have to set it above 100 to prefer selling to my station?
I tried some options myself. For Buying I set to 30-50 and selling something around 150. This works fine. So my own orders are priorized by TaterTrader.
Hope this informations helps somebody with same question like me :) Have a nice day
I don't know if I have a problem with tater or if I am doin' it wrong! My traders seem to just sit around with a big question mark when set to tatertrade, this has started happening since I started a new game on 3.0/Split DLC. On previous version I did not have any issues. EDIT: ok, uh, they've started moving again all of a sudden!

its named DeadAirRT now in v1.13
dont waste your time. Traders ignore blacklists and go through xenon all the time.
I lost 1/3 of my fleet in a few hours..
going back to something else, maybe even vanila.
