Feel free to check whether this works with 7.10 while I deal with new irl mess

Just tried it, I don't think it works. Been playing for a while to let the script kick in as intended, came to check after like 40 minutes and witnessed my station assigned Heron E load a whopping 624 smart chips to fly like 20 kilometers to the nearest station and sell them for the cheapest price.

Does work as stated, but can become disadvantageous if running economy mods that make components more scarce/you need more components.  Then large station traders will sit there staring and drooling at a microchips facility waiting for it to someday produce enough to fill its cargo.

Supposedly you can work around this by using smaller capacity trade ships.

The obvious future development is to somehow prioritize smaller ships for small-volume deliveries, but I can't figure out how to plan this since a wrong implementation can cause small ships to take all the trade opportunities when the per-item volume is small but the units involved is huge.

Thank you - always wanted a mod like this; especially for ships assigned to a station. Was always annoying seeing a large freighter carry 10% of its cargo capacity. I usually end up using Dead Tater's 'My Faction First' setting instead.

This only affects station traders? How is loctradevalue usually set up?

vanilla loctradevalue only looks at the amount and the relative price difference, so in extreme cases some wares will always get delivered even if another ware is in high demand
