As someone who plays with travel mode disabled, VRO is pretty much necessary to make the gameplay viable as VRO ship speeds are balanced much more in line with X3. I suspect I am very much in the minority having no travel mode though (always been my biggest gripe with X4). I honestly don't know how combat feels in vanilla compared to VRO, so I have no idea which I would like more if not for travel mode. So I always love seeing and need compatibility patches to use ships. Wouldn't mind learning the formula's for VRO compatibility or if he just wings it though lol I wouldn't mind giving it a shot at some point

Can you guide me to make this ship available for sale only to player's faction? I tried changing some codes and the regal barracuda won't appear.
Update: After having done some trials and errors, I learnt more and managed to make the ship available exclusively only to player's faction.
For those who are interested, these were what I did:
Unpack this mod somewhere in your PC. There will be .cat and .dat files in the extracted folder.
Download .cat unpacking tool, you can download X Catalog Tool from Egosoft's Bonus Material Website or look for other alternative from your preferred search engine.
Unpack the catalog tool somewhere in your PC, run it, choose import catalog, choose this mod's .cat file, and choose extract all. Make a new empty folder to receive all of the extracted files.
Delete shipgroups.xml from the libraries folder and remove the line containing shipgroups.xml from the catalog tool.
Choose save as catalog and make the file name the same as this mod's original .cat file's. Save it into this mod's folder and choose overwrite when asked. Make sure there are only the new .cat and .dat files in the folder.
Move this mod's folder to X4's extension folder. Run the game and make sure this mod is available and turned on.
tryed the mod today , and hell.. this ship looks 100x better than the original one. would love to see a fter version of it with arround 400 to 450 speed than without turrets for example.but hell this is a great mod

After I folow your indications (by adding your second mod: "S-class turets" and typing the right text in the XML file) the S-class turets on the S-class boron barracuda ship work very fine. Try to do it also on an terran S-class ship (like Takoba) by adding 2 turets, and maybe 2 more shields, 2 more weapon...It would be nice from you also.
Forgive me please,turrets firing backwards is not conformance with physics , no matter in the universe or atmosphere ,no matter turres or missiles , it will lose a lot of energy .

But i will not mass produce such ships. In my opinion, they have to stay some sort of exotic.
