Good work. Hope more people adress these compatibility things instead of asking me to do it ;-) I won't change sector's positions in xrsge Evolution, it is completed so everything should work in future too. Also I did not introduce new ships nor factions (increased, revamped vanilla factions less used ones, revamped pirates etc) so compatibility should be guaranted.
Has there been any attempt to contact the two mod authors? The quick'n'dirty patch will certainly not solve the actual problem, but only cure it. There remains also the question open, up to which of the versions this patch is needed (Current XRSGE-E 6.05)? Or is it already obsolete? I don't know what you mean by "solving" the problem verses "curing it"? The overlapping sector is moved so it doesn't overlap when both the mods are enabled. I'm not sure why I have to contact the mod authors to do this? It's not their responsibility to make their mods compatible with another authors mods, so I have done that with this patch.
