yes! I just had it work out in my 7.5 beta 6 with "The Deep" installed. The new jump gate in Atreus Clouds connects to the SE inactive jump gate (The Deep uses the S Gate) and then that connected to ore belt just fine and to Frontier's Edge!
now that I see it more clearly, it looks like Chillmatica added new inactive jump gates in Atreus' Clouds S and in Argon Prime SW which don't interfere. I have NOT seen whether or not the sector placement on the universe map will create issues with the Hatikvah's Faith...but I don't think so, because the hex locations on the galaxy map are in a different place... look here beta map on qsna
I really really like the aesthetics of this sector, the asteroids and wrecks looming in the fog is super cool, but one small issue I have is roughly in the north-centre of the sector there is a gap in the fog, as seen in the attached pic. When you're flying in it there is still some fog, but it's noticibly thinner and now you can see most of the asteroids/wrecks in the sector, is there a way to fix this? It seems just plopping another blob of fog there would get rid of it, but is placement this randomised by the noisescale? I know a bit about editing the sector xmls but not enough to fix something like this.
- Any chance for separate mod download where other factions are blocked from building stations in these two sectors?
- Please gief the instructions for removal the hazardous radiation in your sectors like in this example: " <remove sel="/regions/region[@name='region2_cluster_27_sector_001']/fields/damagefield" /> " (i suck at programming, but learned well to copypasta!)
I don't have any damage fields. For AI station building, you can go into mapdefaults.xml and look for the <area> tag for each cluster. Nexus keeps stripping it, look for factionlogic = true. There will be 2 <area> sections of this. Change factionlogic to false.
You will also want to delete god.xml from the mod.
Is this compatible with Realspace Galaxy Expansion mod? For some reason, there are no active jumpgates to the sectors and I have two The Shallows..this is with the relocation patch version
I tried that mod very briefly but it was before I developed this sector mod so I'm unsure if it's compatible, but based on your report I would say no. If that mod is placing sectors where the Deep and Shallows should be in either the default or relocation patch then it will collide.
It depends if the modder enables that option. Both of these sectors do have AI able to take it over. I didn't have a preference one way or another. If you start a new game with this mod, Argon and Boron will start with one station in each and have sovereignty. If you add this to a mid-save game then they start neutral and you can take them over.
This looks very interesting. However, I'm too afraid Egosoft could add a sector with the same ID one day and then all of my saves are broken. I had this happening (although just one savegame) with Star wars interworlds when the terran sectors were added.
I suppose that's possible with many sector-adding mods. The only reason I marked this as not save compatible was through my testing, the only place I got it to break was if you log out while in one of these added sectors and then remove the mod. At that point the save can't be loaded again. Other than that this mod could be removed in the future if Egosoft were to add a sector with same ID later to my knowledge.

Thanks for consideration!

even though it's on and literally right above it in the list
If not being a rogue faction living in "The Deep" sounds kinda cool.
Please fix.
Or, open content.xml and change id="ws_2975648845" to id="thedeep". Either method will work.
I forgot to change it after the steam upload. womp womp :(
