Sorry about the late reply. I've had very little free time after work and whatever time I do have, I usually spend gaming.
I'll try to get back to you soon with a guide. If by 'how to create mods' you mean create textures from scratch, you'll be able to use the guide to do this. If you mean change how the game behaves, create new maps, create new characters/zombies, etc. We're not at that stage yet. It doesn't help that saber created their own engine for the game, so all reverse engineering has to be done blindly, so to speak. Also, the modding community for this game is, basically, non-existent, so progress is slow at the moment. Hopefully the community grows for this game as it has great potential. If the devs don't give us new content, maybe we can make it ourselves.
Sorry for my actual late response. I specifically meant texture modding. I tried it myself before, but even the file type used it weird. Are pct/pict files strictly for MacOS-only? Ps supposedly can at least open pct files, but it won't work at all for me. Even QuickTime Player can't open them. Be it the textures I've extracted myself a while ago or yours from the mod. So is texture modding, creating textures, limited to MacOS?
Actually nvm, there's new stuff I didn't know about. Like as in.. an actual texture modding guide on Steam and on another website.
yeah, wwz pct files are not what they seem. The wwz pct format is just a custom wrapper for a DirectDraw Surface (DDS) file (saber just decided to use an existing extension for their custom format)
