About this video

Hi folks, the mod Random Encounters Reworked just got a new encounter. Previously the Griffin encounter and now the Monster Contract. A monster contract is a special encounter, it is a mix between regular monster contracts from the base game and dynamic events from the mod. It is a phase based encounter with clues that you have to follow and fights you have to complete to progress through the encounter.

Almost everything you see in the video was random, from the location to the number of creatures or even the creatures themselves and the number of fights were chosen randomly by RER. So you can expect to get this encounter almost everywhere, leading you through forests or even lakes right until unique creatures from the game and everytime it will be like a new quest.

This is truly the most radical, game changing mod available. Thank you so much for your work, I will donate as soon as the pandemic restores my income :P.

Suggestion to delete a spawn point: the griffin in White Orchard is a lot easier than it should be because the bandit spawn point near the mill distracts the beast for a few seconds, giving it time to partially beat them down before you finish them and then it succumbs to your hits in the interim.

Also, if you die like a noob on EE... The map markers sometimes take a while to sync up with the current status of the contract (in White Orchard).

      Hello!

You commented to a year old video ahah!

I am glad to see you like my mod and that it does its job! I removed the spawn point of bandits near the mill as you suggested. The griffin starts attacking the bandits or the bandits start chasing you during the fight, and that is not a pleasant experience either way.

The markers are updated when RER is fully loaded. There is a 5 seconds delay (or 10 if you enabled the scripthook bootstrap compatibility) and that's when it updates the markers. Also the contract is a complex thing, when you die and reload it actually recreates a contract from scratch at the previous position and tries to make an exact copy of the contract you had in your previous session. It was the only way to make it persist through saves :)

Thank you for your comment, and thanks for considering a donation, i appreciate the thought!

Looks like you are probably the most active TW3 mod author because I often read about updates of your mods. Great work and keep doing what you do.

Thank you. I update it alot yes, because i really enjoy coding the mod at the moment. And all the people giving cool ideas, i can't just ignore them they're too good to be ignored! And thank YOU for staying interested in my mod even after all this time, updates and of course bugs

We'll see how it goes when Cyberpunk is released as i plan on modding it too, we'll see... but at the moment i'm fully devoted to this mod and i have yet many ideas i want to add into RER. The next one should be fun ;)

Thank you! Glad you like it. In my opinion the comments are what tie everything together, without them the encounter wouldn't be as nice. But hearing them everytime can get repetitive, and i tried to add as many of them as possible. So in this video you may see only one fourth of the comments and sometimes they change based on the creature you're hunting or the situation.
