Great idea for a mod! The changed bestiary image and "Vulnerable Against" list works correctly, butt the actual bestiary description is still the vanilla description.
That's because I never changed the bestiary description. Might make a version with some tweaks at some point but it was my intention to make the vulnerabilities and the image to be more accurate.
Ahh okay then it is working as intended. Just out of curiosity, what changes did you make to the bestiary entry? It's cutoff in the image towards the bottom.
I don't know where else to ask: how can I mod bestiary textures? I've tried uncooking mods that do this or vanilla game with w3oven, modkit, wolvenkit, redkit, but I don't get to the actual texture files to change them. Is there a tutorial or a comprehensive explanation somewhere?
If you're looking for where to find the bestiary images themselves, here's the location of the journal images for the main game and DLCs in the REDkit.
Main game: The Witcher 3 REDkit\r4data\gameplay\gui_new\textures\journal Hearts of Stone: The Witcher 3 REDkit\r4data\dlc\ep1\data\gameplay\gui_new\textures\journal Blood and Wine: The Witcher 3 REDkit\r4data\dlc\bob\data\gameplay\gui_new\textures\journal
In these folders, there will be two subfolders which segregate the images from the bestiary and the characters.
The images are there, but I couldn't tell you how to cook the edited images into a mod.
This set of tutorials by CDPR could probably help you with that though.
However, if you're just looking for a bestiary entry to just swap the current image for a different one like I did, all you need to do is find the bestiary entry in REDkit, and change the image used from the current one, to which ever one you want from said directories, then cook the mod.
Best of luck for whatever mod you're looking to make.
