I still use TWMM for my full loadorder and for merging that .... but then I export the whole loadorder to a mod in MO2 including the merges and then disable all my mods in TWMM and put a tilde in front the 000_merged folder and my install is back to vanilla ... then I use MO2 to load up my full load order. When updates happen I simply update the mods in TWMM and make a new MO2 mod ... I can instantly revert to my full install for any previous date.
Then I build specialized load orders like for Eternal Hunt right in MO2.
And I can revert to vanilla in one click to try out quest mods
The only issue is you have to be careful with input settings and which saves you load
Hey nice one for this as a mo2 enjoyer myself wherever it will work this was lovely to see. Took a little while and a bit of work but fully transfered my modlist over. Now my ocd can rest a little! Cheers!
Oh man, I wish I'd had this in June when I started modding TW3 again. Currently have a stable build though and would hate to mess it up. Also a shame you can't set priorities with it.
They are different things. The priority column on the left determines which fileto be loaded when the same file at same directory exists. It is a feature of MO2. The priority setting we talked about is how Witcher 3 loads mods. Different mods can have same file but at different directory in /Mods, and Witcher 3 needs to know which Mod load first. That's why we need script merger to Integrate edits to the same file from multiple mods.
For example, when game is launched through MO2, in /Mods directory, there are
/modxxxx/somefile.ext /modyyyy/somefile.ext
modxxxx and modyyyy edits the same file, but in different directory. That's not sortable by drag'n'drop on the left panel of MO2, but have to go through script merger, or editing mods.settings, or by default, modxxxx will win (default priority is determined alphabetically).
I have a GOG copy of Witcher 3, which I run through Steam so I can use my custom gamepad setup. If I run the game through MO2, would that mean no Steam features?
EDIT: Managed to fix that. I also noticed that your edited plugin doesn't include the dx12 ini file, any chance you could add it?
Much appreciated. Happy to have everything tucked away into my MO2 folder now, while the game folder is untouched (apart from the vanilla DLC2 folder needing to be replaced entirely so the hairstyle mod works properly).
When people install with Vortex, they run into unwanted script errors. While modding Skyrim, I was using this manager. It is the best mod manager program after Nexus Mod Manager. Thank you for this plugin, it will be very useful for people, This mod manager will now host a Witcher 3 :)

This thing can take care of registering the mod menus.
