Hi broo could you fix this problem? ,,the mod causes it to have a big impact on the content offered by shopkeepers/armourers/swordsmiths and removes their assortment''
I have a similar bug to the user below (or not?). I no longer get cards from merchants, and A Miraculous Guide to Gwent still shows 7 random players. The only mods that modify quest_function.ws are More Reasonable Damage and Gwent Deck Choice. I doubt MRD has anything to do with it.
Similar solution then, remove the misleading A Miraculous Guide mod and see how many random card is really left to get. The number of random players are not equal to random card to collect.
Okay then 1) Just a reminder but each merchant give only one random card. Have you tried to beat new merchants ? 2) Considering you've installed MRD and Gwent Deck Choice, have you merge correctly the script quest_function.ws ? Because the cards given by random is define on that script but the list of cards used by the book came from another file. That may explain the discrepancy. With GDC, I assume you didn't pick the Northern Deck ?
As for the first one, I know and I've only tried with merchants I haven't played with yet (currently almost everyone on Skellige). After the first game they give nothing, after the next random items. Secondly, I simply merged these two mods. Script merger did it automatically. And yes, I didn't choose the Northern deck but Nilfgaard. Up until now everything worked correctly, and the cards worked with the book, but now it shows that there are still 7 cards to get and I don't get anything. Is it possible that these are cards from the Hearts of Stone expansion? For example, a game with Olgierd or Shani?
It's not related to HoS Gwent player, their aren't tracked by the book. Have you already get Keira, Sile, Sabrina, Dethmold, Yarpen, Sheldon and Ves cards ? On a previous version of GDC, this was the 7 cards added in the random pool cards to win. If you don't, that would mean the said script isn't merge properly. If you do have them, then it could only happen if you installed GDC but didn't start a new game with it.
I have those cards. Should I be worried if I haven't started a new game with GDC? Although honestly I'd bet my hand that I started a new game with this mod.
Nothing bad, it won't break your deck or the gwent game but there will be some weirdness like this one and duplicated cards. It's because the game automaticly give you the Northern deck at the start, but doesn't give the proper item. The card are here but aren't at the same time for some system (like the one that track card with the book). And the only way to avoid that when you use GDC is to start a new game with it. What happen if you use the cc and type : removeitem('gwint_card_keira') ? Is Keira card still there ?
Yeah that's why and the result is as expected. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do to fix that afterwards. If the number really bother you, you can still reduce the number to 0 by adding the card with the cc additem('gwint_card_keira') and replace Keira by all the other name I gave earlier. But that will give you more duplicate.
Hi there! While playing on the mod i've encountered a pretty weird bug that disables card rewards after beating merchants around the world. The trigger for the bug seems to be acquiring the wyvern card for some reason, but it's the trigger every single time. Here's a video of it (I am using Missing cards tracker next gen mod to showcase this better, as soon as you acquire wyvern card, all fight entries disappear from the book and You do not get any new cards from beaten merchants) https://medal.tv/pl/games/the-witcher-3/clips/jHftJXKVvXsGgUAuk?invite=cr-MSxLNjIsMzEzMjAwMzMwLA
Hi, haven't you simply acquiert all the random card ? I'm not familliar with Missing cards tracker but usually on the book tracker, the list of random card is at the bottom of the list and i never saw it in your video.
If it's not that i can tell that your bug isn't caused by Gwent Ultima : the function that define the list of random win-able cards is this one "quest function GiveMerchantRandomGwintCardToPlayerQuest( merchantTag : name )" in the script quest_function.ws and Gwent Ultima doesn't edit it.
I can only suggest to look in script merger if you have a conflict for this file, re-make the merge manually to avoid any issue. Or another method would be to 1)Back up your last save 2)Disable all your mod except Gwent Ultima 3)Verify if the bug is still here just in case, then nable them one by one and verify each time if you meet the bug until you found which mod cause this.
The mod shows which merchant was not beaten yet, not which cards i am missing. It would be pretty weird that i don't have to beat every merchant to get every card, right?
None of my mods edit the function You mention so i assume You may be right that i got every card.. But as i said, it's pretty weird, i thought you have to beat every merchant to get full card collection. The only thing that comes to my mind is that some of the cards that are normally granted by beating merchants were move to some of the shops so i got the already because i bought them eariler. And Ultima edits def_loot_shops files which is believe is the file that changes the items in shops
Their is 51 cards to win against secondary npc. And if i'm not wrong, their is 61 secondary npc to play gwent with. But if you got them all it's confusing that Missing Card Tracker still display those merchant to beat. May be try to remove it to see exactly what number of random card is left ? If you got them all, it'll be 0.
As for def_loot_shops it's a different thing, related to some extent only to the list of card that can be win. Ultima edits on this file is to change the name of some cards, to restore unique cards pictures. As far as i know, it doesn't add random card in any shop. But even if, for the theory : if you buy one card that is also winable by random, it doesn't affect the card from the win-able list. Once you get that random card, it'll be added to your deck no matter what even if the said card was supposed to be unique. The opposite however is not true : if you win a random card also present in a shop, once you get that card, it will vanish from the shop.
I removed the mod and it looks like You are right, you don't have to play with every merchant to get all of the random cards. It right now says "Random Players: 0". Wyvern just seems to be the last random card i got. So You are correct, it's how the game intends it.
Nevertheless thanks for Your help and sorry for wasting Your time a little
Oh, I know how to get in vanilla game (I don't use Galaxy/launcher so I just get it through the console with additem('gwint_card_roach')), I just thought you incorporated it into the mod itself, so you start with the card whether you unlocked it through standalone Gwent or not.
Nope, it's added with the usuall vanilla behavior as the game dev intended it to be. If you don't use GOG/Red launcher and aren't connected, the only way to get it is with the console command as you did. The mod itself tweak it's stats. That's it.
Did you change the name of the card or something? I can no longer spawn Roach through the console as long as the mod is active. After disabling the mod I can spawn it just fine.
No, as I said only it's stats was changed. The item name and code are still the same. No idea why you got that but I doubt it's directly related to this mod as I can add this card through the console without issue in my set up 🤔
Do you use W3EER and the merged compatibility file in your setup? Maybe that's the culprit. I have a rather conservative mod setup (this is the only Gwent related mod I use): W3EE Redux, Brothers in Arms, Quest Tweaks, Boat Races, No Free Fast Travel in Skellige, HD Reworked Project, Characters Reworked Project, Action Log and Gwent Improvements - Ultima (along with your next gen patch). I don't have any Script Merger conflicts with Gwent Improvements apart from W3EE resolved by your merged file. Without Gwent Improvements I can spawn every single card including Roach and the new versions of Geralt and Ciri, with the mod I can spawn other cards except those three...
EDIT: s#*!, I know what's causing the issue - me xD I installed only the W3EE merged file, because I thought it's merged with the main file, but apparently you need both xD Sorry for wasting your time.
I don't recommend it. You can always try to backup your save before installing it if you want to see how it goes, but keep in mind that even if everything seems normal at first, it could cause some unexpected issue in the long run.
Hi Lewis, I talked with SorceressJ about Roach card and she doesn't want to add it in Gwent Ultima. It's card def is in the XML and the code part in the script too, but it's all commented for now.
@ SethLeCornu should i give gwent ultima folders priority over EE Redux NG ? plz let me know. Thank you . Also are all your mods compatible with EE Redux NG ?
Hi Safu, install Gwent Ultima + NG Patch (the main file here), then pick up the Pre-Merged for W3EE Redux under the misc section. It contain a merged for the def_loot_shop.xml , it's the only conflict between both mods. Give priority to that file over both Gwent Ultima and W3EERedux (it should already be the case with alphabetical load order) and you should be all good.
I use W3EERedux myself, and all of my others mods are compatible with it ;) Most don't even conflict with or if they do, i always writte a note somewhere on the mod page about how to make them work together.
Finally Ciri and Geralt cards are available and I confirm that you get them normally as rewards because I got Eskel and I've searched for solution and you were asking about this. Turns out I forgot to use this Patch that I've installed. Now everything works, hopefully this overwriting with the patch mid game won't do no good for me. Thanks man!
Hi, enjoys! In theory, it shoud be perfectly safe for your save to install the NG patch during a playthrough if you've started that save with the old gen version of the mod.

the original mod has also been updated
The original mod's update is for the Polish translation too.
[EDIT] It is now since 1.2 version.
