Howdy Mersey! I am planning to start a new witcher run shortly on 1.32 and am going to test if this mod runs okay despite being built around Next-Gen. Should I use the BIA or non-BIA version? I have classic BIA installed.
In this case you should still use the BIA version, because otherwise you risk breaking the Mysterious Passenger quest. Please report back later if everything is working correctly on Classic.
Can confirm the pontar transit pass portion of the mod works perfectly on classic. All four dialogues (2 for each crossing point) played without any issues. I kinda get why CDPR disabled them though.
The first dialogue at both points makes complete sense, but the second set of guards are set up for folks crossing from the other direction, so the player is automatically turned around and set up to proceed in the wrong direction after speaking with them, and it's also just odd to be asked for a pass twice in a span of 30 seconds or so.
The dialogues are well-written though so I'm kinda conflicted. Anyway, looking forward to testing the rest.
Yeah, I totally agree. It is a bit odd to be stopped twice on the same side, that's why this is under Quest Tweaks, not in something like BIA, so the player can choose to use it if he wishes. Still, like you said, they're well written and until last year when I made the mod (9 years after game's release and playing the game since) I found out there are actually these unique encounters on the other side of the bridge, so I made it possible to experience it (because probably 1% of people have seen them). Good to hear it works on Classic.
Hello, I have a question, does the "Quest Tweaks (All-in-One BIA Version)" pack include the optional extra file of "Unseen Elder tweaks" that you mention in the description?
Hi, Yes, if you don't have Mods folder just create it. It will be in the root folder of your Witcher 3 game installation, so looks like The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt/Mods. Inside the Mods folder you have to copy the modAMysteriousPassenger folder. And don't forget that for the mod to take effect, you have to load a save game from before Yennefer's and Geralt's conversation in Freya's garden (before the garden dies). So save must come from while you still control Ciri in flashback or any earlier saves before that point will also work.
P.S. I am honored you chose my mod as the first mod you ever install. Just bear in mind, that once you open the can of worms that is modding, you might never stop, as it is addicting.
Just to be sure (first mod that needs priorities for me): If I use this mod and BiA, BiA should have something liek priority 1 whilst tjis mod gets 2 in the mod manager, right?
Can you add https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Flesh_for_Sale so that it's not so easily missable?
It kind of takes you out of the story progression, forcing you to go to Skellige just to complete it, then back to continue what you were doing in Novigrad...
Yes, I want to do that eventually, but it's not exactly straightforward. Both Flesh for Sale and Following the Thread have very complicated intertwined logic in those quests, that need to be untangled first to not break something.
I'm not using this cause I went back to Classic but if you're interested, there is a missable quest with a nilfguardian deserter that gets hanged by temerians if you don't meet them before you start the Keira Metz dinner quest.

Thank you for the mod btw.
Thanks a lot for the efforts on these mods.
I am new to Witcher 3 and have never installed any mods.
I am trying to install the first mod here "a mysterious passenger always available".
But i am not sure what to do.
You said you need to put it in the mods folder but i do not have that folder.
Do i need to create that folder manually or i need to install some sort of mod manager?

Bundle non-text - Not mergeable
"quests\part_1\quest_files\q205_frozen_coast\phases\q205_events_after.w2phase"
for BIA and the quest mods BIA
is this okay to play or not to play with the mod? is it really cannot be merge?
