It's almost there, but I feel the stamina doesn't start to regen fast enough. Fighting 1-3 enemies isn't too bad, but groups feel impossible. Let's say drowner needs 5 hits to be killed, that's your whole stamina bar. If you dodge in between or get hit you lose more stamina. So the only way to do it is to keep running away, try to get enemies stuck on tress etc.

Essentially this is souls like/elden ring stamina, which I believe it's the best system.
I downloaded the mod but can't do damage and enemies can't either uninstalled the mod and now it works not sure how to fix it. I did report as a bug just in case
Agreed. I used previous versions of this mod, but it seems that with every update there's a new merge conflict with one of my staple mods like Friendly HUD or Balanced damage and Scaling. Eventually I just had to ditch it because I couldn't figure it out & the game wouldn't boot. Quite a shame because I REALLY enjoyed how it made combat feel. A lite version is definitely needed.
