I always wondered about one thing. I couldn't ever find a mod that would fix the clipping problem that this hood has. That Geralt's head constantly clips through the hood during the cutscenes etc. Is lowering the hood the only solution to this?
Well i made this mod mostly because i don't like the look of the armor with the hood on and not to solve the clipping even if it's a non issue with it being off. I guess a proper clipping fix would require to edit the mesh of the armor, at the risk of making it look a bit off like for exemple the hood being to big compare to Geralt head, wierd physic of the cloth etc.
I personally like the hood because i think it matches Feline school (Cause they are known for taking contracts on humans, so being assasins ) and lorewise it also feels right because you can see that many main characters wear hoods. But unfortunetly, this is the only solution i could find of the cipping issue which isn't ideal for me. But i guess it's the only thing doable now.
You can try this one : https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/4242 It allow you to wear several hood and cape. If you use one hood with the master Cat Armor, maybe that will help you to get your "roleplay" without clipping.
It couldn't be, this is the first mod i've installed to the game besides BiA. (unless that somehow effects it)
I've realized that the hue actually looks like the one you've posted in the your screenshots, any chance the file/color might be affected from your end?
I've done testing with the professor glasses and it's %100 different
In my screenshot i got a texture mod that change the look of this armor. But it's weird if you got the same look without any other mod as BIA doesn't change the color of armor. I'll take a look too when i got the time, to try with the professor glasses on vanilla to see how it goes on my end.
Edit : you're right, it's an issue with the mods. Changing manually the entity to point to the mesh.w2ent that doesn't have the hood somehow mixed the dyng color of the hood. Super bizzare indeed, it's fixed now. Thanks a lot for the report.
Thank you for this mod. Can you please change its folder structure so it contains "Mods" or "modNoCatHood"? That way, it's easier to install manually or with any mod manager.
For vesemir's funeral and ciri cutscene it's probaby due to vanilla limitation from the scene since you're not supposed to have this armor at this point of an normal save. But in gameplay it's weird. It shoudn't cause any issue. I'll try to look at this, but without a save to test it myself it could take a (very) long time. Thanks for the report. If anyone else having the same issue, feel free to share your save file.
Oh then that explain why it don't work in cutscene, they are prerender in 1.32, nothing i can do for this. Still weird that you encounter a bug during the snowball gameplay part.
Not OP, but there are plenty of reasons to stay on classic. Shadows are broken and downgraded in DX11 Next-Gen, Grass Collision is near removed, BlitzFX is not supported, the netflix gear existing should be a crime, and personally, I didn't love the new quest they added or the nerfs to witcher gear, so 1.32 is my preferred version
Hi, same result in the end, but mine doesn't edit def_item_crafting_armor.xml which defines GM armors stats. In clear GM Cat Hood Always Down will conflict with other mod editing this file, mine won't.
Yeah i know. And people who want just that will too. The goal of the mod is you install it, it does the job and you don't have to think about it. Thanks anyways for the cc for those interested.

Didn't want to do the whole console-mask thing so this mod was a blessing hehe.

I assume it's a NG+ save ?

Why don't you upgrade to next gen, its better in every way, on DX11 it works flawless.
