You could modify the xml file to make the appearance of any sword you like. Or you could download the aerondight redone mod that way both aerondight swords will have the same size.
I can't get the console command to add the steel Aerondight. I'm playing on Next Gen with no conflicts, tried it on my main save and tried making a new save, neither worked. I saw another comment that had the same issue, where would I check the xml files to see if the merger merged correctly?
Checked the merged files and they seem to be merged correctly. I can see matching scripts for silver aerondight and steel aerondight. Is the steel Aerondight acquired from a quest anywhere?
Assuming you have installed the mod properly I don’t know why it would not work. Once you kill the ice giant in Hjalmars quest you should get the sword. “DLC” mods are not my forte. All I know is that I use it and it’s working for me. I’m sorry I can’t be much help.

Using this mod for some time now and gotta say its great! Thx to the autor for that amazing job. A few questions: are you planing to add Aerondight glow effect? And can you make it so it has the same size as original one? Because the steel sword is a little smaller then silver one, sadly.
i can make a version with the same model as the vanilla however, adding the glow is something i have yet to figure out. i'm not the best at coding sadly.
update: i can make it so that the steel version has the same model as the silver but the sword is too big for any scabbard so it will clip badly through the scabbard. i suggest you download a mod called Aerondight Redone. i in fact use the same model for this version from that mod so the sizes will be the same.
Maybe that's a stupid question... but cant you just make same scabbard that vanilla one uses but for the steel one? i mean 2 identicall swords with identical scabbards) would be cool) as long as they won't clip with eatch other. P.S. Thanks for the attention)
sheathe and unsheathe the sword to see the charge on the hud. the steel sword doesn't "glow" the same as the silver one. i don't how to fix that unfortunately. :(
