Hey, I'm using NG 4.01 and I have a problem with the mod : I kill creatures and I often loot a trophy which goes automatically in the inventory trophy slot, replacing the one I'v chosen. It's boring because I need to replace each time I loot a trophy the one I need in the accessory slot.
Can you code a workaround so that your trophies wont replace the normal trophy slot ? Or eventually give an option in the xml menu ? If doable...
Otherwise, it's an incredible fu...ing mod, several hours I play with and it litteraly changes the way I consider/play the game. Very nice addition and so entertaining ! ♥♥♥
glad to hear you enjoying it. sorry that needs script editing. which i dont do. didn't know rer trophies do that. im using this mod since long before RER existed: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1449 though im not sure if it works for NextGen since im still on 1.32 myself. but should be updated mods like that in nexus for v4.00+
I've installed the mod you advised me I Choose The Trophy = https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1449?tab=description but as the mod is not up to date and originally made for preious W3 versions :
In script merger File/options, I added a tick to "review each merge in Kdiff3" to have the opportunity to check the code case by case manually
This led to a big piece of code at the end of about some quests & medallion functions that were already missing in my actual 000_merged file, without knowing which mod or why this code had been whiped out... weird Oo
There was also a variable declaration that I think related to this piece of code which was also missing in the same manner so, I selected the right options (A) to bring this code back like it is in vanilla content\scripts\game\quests\quest_function.ws
Then I compared the code with kdiff (script merger directory/tools --> associate with *.WS files...)
nicely done! , yeah it sucked even before RER. specially if you have useful, edited trophies . there are several no-trophy-swap mods in nexus. only this one works as intended for me

didn't know rer trophies do that. im using this mod since long before RER existed: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1449

- The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\containers\actorRemains.ws (original vanilla file)
The result is that they are almost identical except some pieces of code added in the new file that should'nt harm anything.This check was necessary to ensure everything is under control until further developpements in game (checking if everything is running ok...)
