Here is my new fix for Memory leak issue, that's works on every GPU! (no need for GPU with 20GB or higher VRAM and basicly is smillar to fix via Nvidia CP AF/clamp settings) https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8083 + some others Tips, Check it out ! =)
Im at a loss for words. I came from console been gaming on console my entire life up till over 2 months ago. I invested in a 3080 rig. I just started using mods on pc. I was excited for the witcher 3 next gen update but on my 3080 i was getting crazy fps drops into the high 30 low 40 on dx11 and dx12 even with ray tracing off. Your mods memory leak fix and this rt fix has fixed my issue. I can honestly say this is not a placebo effect. Im getting over 80 fps at native 4k ultra+ on dx11 version and on dx12 im gettting 50 -60 at 1440p with raytracing on ultra. I was dipping in down to 30's with ray tracing before your mods at times and had crazy studder. Bravo im so thankful. You and whoever helped make this possible have my many thanks. Now the game is playable. I considered going back to 1.32 version.
yes, mem. leak fix ini works on every gpu, if your gpu have 16GB VRAM, then you can try change settings in his ini file: change ForceCustomMipBias=-0.5 to ForceCustomMipBias=-1.0 or little bit lower, max -1.5. if your gpu have 20GB VRAM then -1.5 will be enough, if 24GB then i think you don't need this fix anymore.
Hey everyone, like i promised, with help of rj200b i have released new mod version, there is new Ultra Plus Performance preset with highest FPS boost, check it out =).
few days ago Nvidia has released newest version of DLSS dll 3.5.0, it'ssignificantly improves image quality and RT rendering is almost without any characteristic noise. Link to download dll's is in the buttom of my mod description.
I'm having problem with this weird shadow/illumination line that appears almost everywhere where there are buildings. It is especially noticeable inside Triss' building where the ceiling and upper floor is bright and when I climb high enough, the lighting corrects itself, but then the bright area moves to the floor below. Any idea what causes it? I'm using the ultra plus performance.
I'm not sure if removing that file is entirely wise. In my testing to solve this issue, whenever I attempted this fix, my game would crash upon movement. I'm guessing that said file is important for the workings of this mod. Changing presets did not work for me either, but I can confirm that changing ray traced global illumination from performance to quality did resolve the problem.
Hey, great mod that actually works with way less crashes.
Just wanted to say there are certain areas with bad GI/shadow pop-in in ultra-performance (even with RT shadows turned off), and I think I've found a solution. Add "NumShadingRaysPerProbe=#" (number can range from 16 to 24) to FasterRTUltraPerformanceGlobalIllumination.ini file and it should look better, though there are still some problems with chunks of ground having different lighting with a noticeable line. Less rays per probe means better fps but more chance of visual glitches.
Also ProximityExtendedTLASSize pops up twice in FasterRTifNoRTShadows and Modified_RTX_Tweaks, both with different values. This might cause crashes occasionally. I would recommend deleting the one in Modified_RTX_Tweaks if you also have the FasterRTifNoRTShadows file.
Thought it wasn't working, as I got no performance increase. I then tried the Ultra Plus preset and got like a 5% fps increase, so idk what's going on. I already have a powerful gpu and get around 105 fps in Novigrad at 4k DLSS4 Balanced, without frame gen. Adding the Ultra Plus only boosted me to around 111fps. The other ones made no difference at all.
I didn’t take a screenshot to compare this directly, but it should look very similar in visual quality to the vanilla Performance preset, with about 25% better performance. Compared to the Quality preset, the visuals will be slightly worse, but at first glance it’s hard to tell which one looks better. That’s why losing 50% of performance for the Vanilla Quality preset just isn’t worth it.
Thing is I only might need this for Novigrad, which is killing my fps (first with the memory leak which I fixed with your other mod. Thanks btw!) and now I hover around 50fps in NPC dense areas. Outside of Novigrad tho I get +60fps easy so I would like some RT optimization for the quality mode without going down to the performance mode. Would this be possible with your mod?
It doesn't matter which setting you choose — RTGI Quality or Performance — they are both overridden by the RTXGI Unlocker, which injects the All-in-One RT .ini settings
There is a way to improve performance without quality loss for RTGI Quality vanilla preset — use my AllinOne Quality & Performance preset. Then, in the 0_TW3_Modified_FasterRTUltraPerformanceGlobalIllumination.ini file, remove the following lines under [RTXGI/GlobalGrid]: NumClassificationRaysPerProbe=48 MaxProbesShadedPerFrame=3840 MaxProbesClassificatedPerFrame=57344 MaxProbesClassificatedPerFrameAfterFirstPass=14336 Also, delete the entire 0_TW3_Modified_Optimized RT.ini file. Next, download the Optimized RTGI v0.7 Quality mod and unpack it to the same location where you use the AiO.ini settings. It should work fine and give you performance improvements thanks to tweaks from both my mod and Alikoko’s.
When it comes to the DLSS version. Does it matter which preset is used in the nvidia app? ( I got the latest DLSS version and using Preset E )
Im on RTX 2060 and curious if I could get over the 30 fps mark with this mod on 1440p. Also, would it give better performance when using SSR on high without RT? When using SSR on low, I get a bug with flickering lights sometimes, and a constant flickering in the water reflections.
Hey, I've recently started up witcher 3 and the fsr frame gen mod doesnt work anymore for some reason, tried reinstalling everything a few times and I tried enabling and disabling the nvidia signature checks too to no success.
