Will not be updating for awhile. CDPR keeps adding and removing code comments from the script files back and forth and back and forth, which makes what should be a simple update a giant pain in the ass. So going to take a time out for awhile.
Updated mod to 1.21. Looking at the code, the bug does not appear to be fixed in 1.21. So guessing it is here to stay and if you want a less grating sailing experience you will need this mod.
I feel remiss that I have not commented on this very useful little mod though I have had in force for a while. It''s true worth became evident when in the Skelligge Isles where sailing is as about as normal as riding is on the continent. The constant annoying rudder maneuvering sound was slowly driving me nuts....this mod has a niche in my game from now on. FYI works just fine with V-1.11 and HoS.Thank you for your work.
Thanks for the kind words. The moment I patched to 1.10 the first time I was like WTF is with the sailing now! Glad I could find a fix and that it's handy to others. Hopefully CDPR will fix it in an upcoming patch as well. I filed a bug with them and they responded thanking me for my level of detail.

goatofdeath wrote: Are you using the Steam version of the game? I ask because this works fine for me on an install from Gog Galaxy. I've read others having compilation issues but I've run into none myself and I know the mod works as I just tested it. The compile issues are not a problem with a mod, they are a problem with the 1.10 patch on some systems not updating right and leaving some files behind.
goatofdeath wrote: @Numus This mod is specifically for the 1.10 patch and a bug that was introduced in it. It works just fine with 1.10, or at least with the GOG Galaxy version of it.
no it's not working for gog i have it and it's not working i get the same error is there a script update for 1.10
2. extract downloaded archive 3. open \YourWitcher3Directory\content\content0\ and delete or rename folder \scripts\
3. copy folder \scripts\ folder from extracted archive you downloaded in step 1. to \YourWitcher3Directory\content\content0\ 4. run the game, no more compilation errors (except maybe your merged mods are not properly merged!)

Maybe it's not a bug but a feature.
