Hi, 4.04 works well thanks, but i have a strange effect, i can use 2 sign, like if i was a grand master Griffin.
edit : ah, seen it in bug section, signs only takes half stamina, that's it.
Edit 2 : For those interested, it is compatible with Mod Basic spell stamina cost reduced by 40 Next Gen 2 versions of the mod, with a just -20% stamina. This reduce the issue.
Edit 3 : finally i had to remove it because of the gap between level 4 and 12. No slot. As i use reduce xp by 0.5, way too long. I got approaching effect with taking one skill point only at pair level : 1 point at level 2,4,6,8 etc... no skill point at level 3,5,7,9 etc...
If there's a place where I can see the specific changes of every skill (Maybe in your changelog?) in a clear way, so it reduce the time of researching what is where, which skill is what (I played in french for 90% of the time), that's something I could do it eventually. But wouldn't that be less convenient for someone who want to obtain as much skills as possible with the limited amount of ability points we can find in one playthrough? Which is apparently 99 from leveling, 30 places of power, 2 from Magic Acorn, 1 from Golden Egg, so it's 132, that's still a lot of skills we can't get since it require around 280 points in V1.31, so a difference of 148 while the Next Gen Edition require 201, so it's still a difference of 69 Without even considering the mutations skills tree:o So I use Set Skill Points per Level
Also, changing the maximum skill level, I have change the increase on each ability individually, so each level jump isn't giving too much or, some stats are going to go crazy, like a +33% x 3 is 99-100%. But a +33% on each 5 is going to reach 165. But if many want it, I can give it a try hoping it's not going to take too long
Anyway, are the next gen stats significantly better? Maybe I could make a best of both
Okay. I look deeper and I think you can simply keep both the XML geralt_skills. You just have to change some stats and apply some math in order that the max level 5 reach almost the same amount as level 3. For example: Vanilla: - 20% - 40% - 60% Modded: - 12% - 24% - 36% - 48% - 60%
I would mind if you change the max from "30%" to "25%". A little nerf is acceptable, just keep the most benefit change. [EDIT] Oh and the last section of the XML easily tell what skill are in the same ingame order. You will understand better.
Hello, I was thinking of doing this, I tried in my free times but many lines didn't change at all. If you ever find a way to solve this little detail, I was thinking of making a better update to this mod, I also liked your idea for more Skills Points and it would make this mod more relevant :)
Genuinely curious why you preferred the old system. The new system freed up 79 available skill points while keeping the vast majority of skills as powerful as they've always been. It was basically a major buff.
Do you prefer the old one because it's more challenging in a way?
I'd say yes I prefer the old one because its more challenging. And the other problem is that in the new way it takes 22 skill points to level up to maximum and since I never play NG+ only NG I always feel like that after level 22 I simply don't get anything.
I don't know if you took the time to read the description, but here's a part of it :)
''I personally like both, I didn't play extensively on Next Gen Edition system so I couldn't tell which one I like the most, I feel like NG's is more convenient for the reduced amount of Skill Points to invest, (Legacy : 280 Vs 201 Next Gen), so I'll probably stick to Next Gen Edition, so I can max out more skills in a single playthrough without modding. I did this little adaptation for the people who didn't like the new skills leveling system.''
So yes, I was aware, that's why I'll stick to the Next Gen Edition, especially for the 79 available skills points, but thanks for noticing :) I only released this because I saw a lot of people complain about the new system and sometime, I create mods to fullfill wishes without even using them after

Would be great you keep the Next Gen stats but with 5 skills. Those change were meant to balance the skills and make it more useful.
I would use this mod personally.
