its cus the folders are not in the right order. after installing, use "open in file manager" on the mod, and move the "modGMCatHoodAlwaysDown" backwards
Does this work using vortex? Doing it that way seems to install correctly and add the appropriate lines to the mod.settings file, but I am still seeing the hood.
Though I doubt this part, could it be not retroactive if I already crafted the chest armor?
thanks was one of the people asking from the bigger transmog mod i just put into mods folder does it matter that there is another layer folder before contents folder? i havent been using script or merger things at all just a few mods in the folder and things have been working fine?

I made it so the hood is always down for the Grandmaster set when using the swapToCat or swapToCatGM versions of it.

Thanks
Also, check the closed bug on here as well, someone else found a quick fix for the vortex install issue that might be what you need.
Just what i needed :D
