Just have to comment and say that I've used reshade since like 2015? And I've never seen anyone just nail it. This is just perfect color correction in my opinion. Just had to tweak color temperature since all monitors are different. And perfect.
Hi, it looks great thank you so much. However, i have 1 question. My hud is gone, is this normal? No subtitles, map, etc. Everything is gone. Is it supposed to be this way?
Never mind i just found out that you can press home and the hud will be back!
I have tested around 8 different reshades and adjust them myself and I was always struggling with the darkness, bright etc. But mate you've done an awesome job I can tell you've spent time testing and moving through all regions. You've got almost a perfect balance between all time zones and a perfect mix with Darkest Nights it's even better, endorsed for sure.
Cheers mate. Yeah I use darker nights but tweaked the times on it a bit as with extended view distances you get incredibly intense red skies as the sun sets in some areas (looks just bad,) so pushed the time it kicks in a bit back which resolved it.
Also, dont know if you do but if using the "no artificial player light" mod, inside buildings are just way too dark so added this to [RTXGI] in the DX12user.settings file;
additiveLighting=2
I then increased the contrast a bit in the reshade under "curves" and gives a real nice look indoors now, perhaps best i've seen. Have only started testing though so may not fully work everywhere
Unfortunately after further testing discovered additive lighting just ruins caves completely. No sweet spot to get building interiors looking good at the same time as caves. Therefore for this to be solved either have to not use 'No artifical player light' which is a shame or wait until one of the proper lighting mods is updated and sorts out the different levels of lighting in different zones.
Seems CDPR didn't stick to a formula when sorting light levels out in the game so it's all over the place and you need the modders to level it out so that we can make it look just bit better...
Judging by your comments, you are competent in this topic, I, as an ordinary user, looked and realized for myself that all the lighting mods created for Oldgen simply do not work or do not work as intended(caves,RTX,LODS,DX12 shadows) there are no good alternatives for new generation, or am I blind. Yes, there are reshades but often they are all very similar(or its patreon for $); there is no such variety of comparisons between 7 completely different shaders as in Oldgen
Don't know if anyone would be interested but since it seems Wiedzmin Lighting mod works with 4.01 i've made an amalgamation of my my original and Next gen mods that I'm now currently using with Wiedzmin for my current playthrough. If anyones out there who reads this and wants it let me know...
