This mod is conflict with ESGO. And there is lagging. When holding RT, the lower right HUD change it description a little slow. It is slow that the the casting is over, then the description appears.
Not sure why it's lagging on your end. Literally all that was done was switching the id's around for the desired button placement. Game should read it just as quickly as vanilla.
ESGO: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1185 I successfully merge two mods. But I don't know how the merged file affect ESGO in the gameplay because there is a lot of input merge
I'm not at my computer atm but looking at that mods file preview I can see we both touch playerinput.ws. My file is completely vanilla with the exception of swapping the sign id's to my desired button interaction. Just my guess but it should not effect his mods changes and if prompted at the locations containing "//modsignswap" you should allow it to win for my changes to take place as I'm guessing they are probably vanilla in his file. Again, this is my guess with not actually looking at it. I'll take a look at it when I'm able to this evening.
So I'm looking at it in Script merger and the only 2 manually resolved conflicts I get between it and my merged file have nothing to do with my mod. Script merger seems to combine them in the final merger with no issue and my changes coming through. So I'm not exactly sure what the conflict is on your end but im not seeing any reason why there would be a conflict that isnt easily handled with Script Merger that deals with my mod.
As far as your lagging issue I'm not sure with that either. It could be something else you have installed dealing with the hud that's causing it an issue but it's not something I'm seeing. Like I said it's just the 3 sign scripts swapped to the appropriate key. Game should read it just as fast as vanilla.
Would it be possible to expand your mod by adding menu shortcuts to DPad up, down, etc.? Like open inventory pushing RT + DPad Left for example. Thanks! :)
Unfortunately that is beyond the scope and my technical skill with coding. The use of RT as a "shift" function is completely governed by the games scripting systems instead of the standard input.settings file. This is why the download for the sign casting is completely separate from the horse riding changes, because the game has been set up to handle them completely and functionally different.
So far with moving the sign bindings around I've only had to swap keyword locations around to meet my desired effect. Adding in a completely new function, as I mentioned before, is something I have no idea how to do. You might could ask the modder I mentioned in my discription though as his mod does more on a technical scale than mine.
In fact I did it myself years ago but I didn't have time to work on a next gen update of my old mod until now. That's why I asked, to avoid spending hours again xD
I just released a new version working on 4.0 if you are interested on learning how to do it, feel free to check it out :) -> Ultimate Native Controller
Hey buddy, first of all I like the changes you made to the riding, but I still like the original skill set. Can you show me how to change the riding without changing the skill set?
I downloaded the file I uploaded originally just to check and everything looks fine to me.
If you completely replaced both sections as I instructed then when you open the file and go to those sections you should see ?IK_Pad_A_CROSS=(Action=HorseJump) for both [Horse] and [Horse_Replacer_Ciri].
If you tried to hand pick the changes from the lis then be sure you have no lines containing ?IK_Pad_B_CROSS=(Action=HorseJump) as that was the original binding.

I'll upload the proper one when I return home.
