Has anyone experienced this successfully with New Gen? For me the rain effect simply isn't appearing when it rains. I've looked at the fixes in the comments from others including editing water quality settings and checking FXAA isn't enabled in Nvidia CP. Would welcome any other suggestions.

Would anyone know why after installing either version 4 or 5 the rain still looks like drops of milk falling slowly to the ground? Doesn't look like the mod is taking effect for me. Just trying to figure out why. I don't have any other weather mods installed. Thanks for any help!

Anyone having problems with rain dissapearing or only showing up in a certain camera angle. just adjust the water setting , apply it n go back to game n then it should be fixed. you can then go back n set it back to your original setting.

I know ramccoid sadly passed away so I'm asking other users for help. When i use Aard the distant rain effect go hollow like it's missing a full circle of rain and when I turn my camera the distant rain effect also move... Any help, please?
Edit: Here's the link to the video https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher3mods/comments/pvxvje/aard_and_distant_rain_effect_bug_using_the_mod/

Uh, how do I uninstall this? I took it out of my mods folder but the rain still looks thin instead of huge like in the base game.

The rain became invisible after i installed this. Only other mods i use is one to remove sword trails and another to get rid of dirty lens effect

I don't know what the problem is. It's just a retexture, no scripts involved. I do know that the way the game engine displays rain is a bit buggy but there's nothing which can done about that with the tools available.

Unfortunately my rain is invisible ingame except on ground! Used many of your excellent mods ramccoid, and have disabled one at a time to see. Got to be something machine specific because I know your textures are awesome! I can hear but not see. Am testing vanilla also...have been using weather enhanced with this. If anyone above finds a fix please post. Thanks for all the great work ramccoid, this one's on me

Hey, don't know if anyone still checks here but I had the same problem, rain wasn't visible. If you have an nVidia GPU and have made some tweaks to force some effects/settings to be handled directly by your GPU, you might want to check the nVidia control panel > Manage 3d Settings > Program Settings > Witcher3.exe > AntiAliasing - FXAA > turn it OFF if you've enabled it to replace the Vanilla AA (I know I did back when the game came out, it was one of the performance tweaks as it had a ton of issues when it launched).

NOTE: Even if you haven't setup custom options for the Witcher, you may have FXAA or MSAA (haven't tested if this affects the mod) enabled in Manage 3d Settings > Global Settings.

TL/DR: For me, the rain wasn't visible due to the FXAA setting forced through the nVidia Control Panel. Hope this helps .

Have any of you tried my new COMPILATION mod, it's in the hot files or click on my profile. It has a updated version of this mod, it works better but doesn't solve any of the game engine problems but that's issues you will have to take up with CDPR.

In my case, the same thing happened, and turning off forced fxaa via nvidia settings didn't help. However, after switching to version 4 from version 5, rain drops showed up again!

Hm, so forced FXAA is incompatible with it? Because I find it to be superior to the games build in AA setting.

Will using Reshade built in SMAA and FXAA cause the same issues or should be good?
