This mod does NOT aim to recreate the original look of Geralt 100% accurately (that will be a future project).
I’ll be following your progress closely. I’m really curious to see if you can manage to 100% recreate it. I’m rooting for you! 🙂 For some reason, I feel like a lot of characters had much better designs in Witcher 1 compared to Witcher 2 or Witcher 3. Back then, TW1 used a different engine. It was older, but it was polished and well-optimized. The graphics were simple but purposeful, and they had a unique artistic style that gave the game a lot of personality. The later games introduced more advanced technology, focusing on realistic models, textures, and dynamic lighting. But in doing so, they might have lost some of that original charm. It feels like the later entries traded a bit of their soul for technical progress. I believe technical progress isn’t always the right path.
This and your Geralt Refined are probably the best re-textures i have ever seen on Nexus. But i will be using this one for my current playthrough, just excellent in all regards, looks fierce and makes Geralt look like "a freak", so really fitting. Thank you for this.
hi mate. i have some problem with geralt's body cause head and neck is pale as f*#@ but all body is very different color from face... how can i fix it?
The new mesh looks great, nice job! However, the HoS Mark does not seem to show up for me, and if I "force" it via the "Burning HoS Mark" or the blue version, it seems to clip through the face. Very nitpicky, but still figured I'd tell ya.
Thanks for the screenshots. Your save is causing my game to crash though. But when I use the console command, I can see that the HoS mark is not appearing at all. Starting to regret ever dabbling in this blasted head mesh modding nonsense. :/
Yeah, about the crash, I figured as much. :/ Probably due to the excess amount of mods/DLCmods I am using.
Feel you on that, seems to be quite the pain in the arse. Well, if nothing works out, you could always just have the old mesh as a beardless/HoS version, and the new mesh for those who just want the more lore-accurate look without any fancy addons.

If it doesn't work for you, the console command "setcustomhead('head_0_mark_tattoo')" should force the mark as well!
Also, here's a couple of screenshots so you see what I mean.
