I know that CDPR did this little touch of tenderness for Yennefer lovers, it's just a shame that Triss lovers can't still do this out of kindness towards Yen. Just because you may not love Yen, doesn't mean that you still don't care enough to do something nice for her.
Guess I will never have this done in my game.......Forever Triss!
Cut before release, but modders have known how to access it for many years. This mod just provides a framework to make it part of the flow of the game for immersion purposes.
If that's the case, then you don't need this mod. This mod is designed to trigger the quest in an immersive manner. If all you want to do is trigger the quest without acquiring the book, then just enter this via console command: addfact(q401_cooking_enabled)
i get it, i noticed this fact command but i didn't expect this mod, obviously this mod is better than just type in code in command haha, i just didn't read through the describtion that i need to buy the recipe book to activate the quest, thought it would be automatically activated at first. thank you!
That's a really great mod, but I have a question Is the recipe book a new item coming from the mod, or this book was in the game's files somewhere?
I'm asking about it because I wonder if it will break my save file if I delete the mod in the middle of my playthrough/will decide to use it on the console
No, the book was added by me. But it won't break your save. The book's sole purpose is to add a fact to the save file, which triggers the Omelet Quest. It was a mechanic implemented by me for immersion purposes. Prior to this mod, people were manually adding the fact via console command. Once you have read the book, you can uninstall the mod or turn it off via the Gameplay menu. The book will disappear from the game but the quest will still play -- because the fact is still in your save file.
The fact was not created by me. This quest was entirely built by CDPR but was turned off in the game files. The only thing the fact does is enable the quest.
Exactly. That's how everyone did it before I created this mod. The only thing the mod does is make it immersive. The book adds the fact when you read it, exactly as if you had entered it yourself via console command.
