Disclaimer:

E3 2014 Lighting Mod is not finished, this is intentional. I wanted to release something before I become even more busy with real life which will be happening soon.

This mod DOES NOT use any assets from any other mod, everything was made from the ground up using a template file found within the vanilla game.

It is not possible to play fully through the main story currently without any lighting issues.

VGX Lighting mod has a higher update priority, so be patient if you wish to see an update.

Description:

This mod aims to modify The Witcher 3's visual style to match with how it looked when it was shown during the E3 2014 event, primarily the 35 minute gameplay demo, certain aspects aren't 100% due the lack of certain features and lack of reference material.

I used uncompressed screenshots as a reference when making this mod.

E3 2014 Lighting Mod was made from the ground up, using no other LM's as a base.

(This mod was made with vanilla Geralt in mind, if your modded Geralt looks bad, that's why)

Regions:

The primary areas which are finished are Velen and Novigrad, I'd suggest spending most of your time using this mod in those regions.

White Orchard has a mostly functioning day/night cycle, and Skellige is using placeholder lighting.

It is not possible to play fully through the main story currently without any lighting issues.

Bugs and Feedback:

E3 2014 Lighting Mod isn't perfect, there might be some areas that need a little more work.

If you have any suggestions on what might need to change (within reason) make sure to put it in the comments, or, place a message in the crashers-mod-snafu channel on gudmods server

FAQ:

Q: I'm using BlitzFX and my game doesn't look like your screenshots.

A: BlitzFX was not used during the making of this mod, if you are using BlitzFX and your game looks different than the provided screenshots, that is why. If you insist on using BlitzFX, then I'd recommend disabling the bloom within the BlitzFX settings, that is the primary reason why your game looks different.

Q: Why does Skellige look so different in this than in the E3 trailers?

A: The reason why Skellige looks different is because it is using a version of Skellige I had made for VGX Lighting Mod, which I then scrapped in favour for a better version of Skellige I made and used the former for this temporarily.
