Hi, awesome mod, but is there a way to add one more stage between Vanilla 4 and Extra stage 1 because the difference between the two is very big

Sorry, I don't know how to make new beards or how to put them on Geralt's head, so I can only add heads that are already made and I don't know of any with suitable beards. That's why these all come from DLC2 Improved. If there are others already made that are of the right length then I could ask the modder who made them if I can add them. But these three stages are the best I could find.

Not working for me. After longest vanilla beard it came to shorter instead of longer. Any help?

I'm not sure. Have you made sure you have DLC2 installed and working? Got all required patches for compatibility with other mods effecting beards? Tried it without any other mods installed?

Are you playing on next gen or old gen? This was made for old gen, but there didn't seem to be any problems with it on next gen when it first launched which is why I labeled it as compatible. But maybe it's no longer compatible. I don't have a PC to test it on and haven't had one for a while, so I don't know what's going on with next gen modding. If you're playing on old gen then I don't know why it isn't working. Maybe there are newer mods that aren't compatible with it. The best advice I can give is to do the tried and true method of installing mods one at a time, testing each time to see if they all work together until you find some incompatibility. (Starting with this mod and the mods required for it to work). If you find an incompatibility that I haven't made a patch for then ask the author of the other incompatible mod if they can make a patch. If not, you'll need to choose which mod to keep. I'll revisit this when I get back into modding, but that will be months from now.

Oh and the mod shouldn't cause the beard growth pattern to be permanently changed after you've uninstalled it. The only thing I can think of is maybe it affected the save file used when the mod was installed, in which case go back to a save from when you didn't have the mod installed and see if the normal beard growth pattern returns.

I can confirm. Beard growth extender needs priority n.1, as E3 Quen. Still no solution on my side

I'm sorry, I'm not in a position to test this or find a solution as I do not currently have a PC. But if you let me know which files are in conflict maybe I can take a guess at what to do.

    A very nice addition.

Small bug: In the EP1 sequence when Geralt has a talk with Gaunter O'Dimm aboard the Ofieri ship, as soon as O'Dimm's brand appeared on Geralt's face, the custom beard got overwritten by the final stage of your beardgrowth making the beard "pop" into scene. Not sure whether this belongs here or to DLC2 improved.

    Anyways, endorsed!

Thanks for this. I can replicate that problem, but it's a problem even without the mod. And even without DLC2 Improved. It looks like you don't even need a custom beard for the bug to happen. If you have an early stage beard then the cutscene pops in the final stage of growth when you get the mark. But it's much more noticeable with my mod because the final stage of growth is so much longer than the vanilla final stage. I'm not sure what to do about it. I guess it is a vanilla bug (though I'm not certain because I don't have a vanilla save to try). I just know it happens without either my mod or DLC2 improved. I know there was a vanilla bug with the DLC beards not displaying correctly with the mark - BiA fixed that - but I guess that fix doesn't extend to the cutscene. If I figure out how then I'll fix it, but I'm actually not even sure where to start when the bug is in a cutscene. And if it's a vanilla bug that the team at BiA never fixed then I doubt it's even possible.

Oh, I should say that I'm still using 1.32. I'm not in a position to test next gen. If you're able to test the scene on a vanilla Next Gen setup then let me know what happens.

No worries. I was thinking that this might be quite complicated to fix seeing how it only happened in a cutscene. I, too, am still on 1.32. In all honesty it gave me a good chuckle and this minor bug shouldn't keep anyone from using this mod. :D

Does it work with Henry cavil's face texture mod?

Good question, I'm not 100% sure. You should try it. I think technically yes - it should work with different face textures (I'm using a texture mod in the images). But it might not look good on Henry Cavill mods because they also change the face shape. So the beard might not fit the face well.

Thanks for the mod! And I want to ask what about compatibility with razor from Ghost Mode?

I have no idea sorry, I don't use Ghostmode. I suggest testing it and seeing if it works. It works with the beard and hair trimming mod, but I needed to make a patch to make that work, and it looks like Ghostmode does shaving in a totally different way. So if it doesn't work I'm not sure I will be able to figure out how to patch it. But try it, see what happens. If it doesn't work, try changing the priority order and try again. Let me know how it goes. I wrote a short guide on the description page for the quickest way to test for beard growth.

Oh but I should also say, it is not obviously incompatible. By that I mean that Ghostmode doesn't edit the one file that is edited for Beard Growth Extender. That doesn't necessarily mean they will work together, but they at least don't conflict.
