This mod is 100% retroactive and can be installed in the middle of a running playthrough (although you obviously won't get any objectives or entries for quests you have already completed).
Please be advised that this is a very complex mod at its core and if you install it, you cannot uninstall it mid-playthrough.
DISCLAIMER: READ BEFORE POSTING As I am getting all the same questions posted over and over again, I have to put up this warning message here:
1) Yes, this mod does work. Yes, all the quests work. They have been tested at least 10 times each, all possible scenarios and they all work. From this point on, if I see a post or a bug report saying "this quest doesn't complete", it will just be deleted.
2) Yes, the optional "Events" category also work. Merge your scripts.
3) If you're experiencing an issue when something doesn't complete or doesn't work, you have installed something incorrectly. If you're using the standalone version, make sure you have both MOD and DLC folders installed correctly. If you use BIA version of the mod, make sure BIA is updated to at least version 1.2. Even if you think you did it correctly, check again.
4) Events mod absolutely must win all the non-bundled conflicts it may have against any other mod. Likewise, if you're using BIA version, BIA must win all .w2phase, .w2scene and .w2comm conflicts it has with any other mod.
5) If you're past the point where you can just re-load from before a certain "stuck" quest started, please follow this link to download the fix for the specific quest you want to force to finish. Download the archive and place the folder in your The Witcher 3/dlc folder. This is a one-time installation, after loading the game with the fix, the quest will complete, after which you can safely delete the folder from your PC. Currently I have created workarounds for 3 such quests - Harassing a Troll (mq1006), Caravan Attack (mq1011) and Looters: Codgers' Quarry (mq1014_3). If you need a different quest to complete, please ask. Don't install these more than one at a time!
6) If you truly think there is a bug, please leave a post. Give detailed information and, if possible, provide a save file. Otherwise I will consider it one of the posts mentioned above and it will be deleted.
helloo, first of all I want to say that the mod is amazing! and I found myself really comfortable with it. Now, some time ago I've changed computer, due to that I stopped playing the witcher, and today after reinstalling all the mods I had, im finding a issue with this, after adding this mod, the game simply runs in the background and doesent open. The game seems to work without it and open normally, but can't continue my current save due to the missing dlc warning. I do have mod limit fixer installed and script merger aswell, yet no mod had any conflict with this one. Any idea what could be the issue or possible fix?
Symptoms like that could be caused by two reasons that I know of. First of all, it might be the mod limit, but you say you already have the Mod Limit Fix. Second reason might be an empty folder in your The Witcher 3/dlc folder. Make sure that dlcEvents is not empty. Better yet, delete modEvents and dlcEvents folders and re-download and install it again.
Hi, thanks for the Harassing a Troll fix. I also seem to have Highwayman Cache in Velen stuck, despite having gone through the motions with that one. Any chance for a one of fixe to complete that one? I downloaded the linked Caravan Attack fix but seems the quest for me is still at wait for events to unfold. Not sure if this is expected behaviour or not.
Hello, I have a question in regards to stuff overlapping with some of Klubargutan's fixes. I've read the disclaimer about conflicts, and I've given Events higher priority in all instances, but there's something that bothers me.
That thing in the merged pack is his Empty Coop fix, which adds a paragraph in the journal after finishing the quest, while the first one is, I assume, related to Of Dairy and Darkness (there's nothing else that overlaps in Events and SQLF, judging from the descriptions of both mods; what it does is changing the location of the quest to Novigrad). Now, my question is: what happens if I reverse the current priority of Events and those two mods in order to retain Klubargutan's fixes at the expense of the changes made by Events? Will I simply not get the notices on the boards, or is it more complex and the quests will bork up entirely?
Likewise with your Witcher Lore Collection mod:
The first one is from his Contracts and Minor Quests fix and I'm almost sure it's the Family Blade quest (adds a paragraph after turning the quest in), the second is from the bonus file of his DLC and Expansion Pack fixes, obviously something in Toussaint, but I don't know what. Do you have any idea what could happen here if I, again, reverse the priorities?
If Events lose priority on the bugfixing_phase, then the quest handled through the file, in this case it's The Most Truest of Basilisks quests, will fail to update and finish correctly. It's just not an option. Losing the priority on the .journal file from Dairy and Darkness, all the restored journal entries and objectives will fail to work.
In case of WLC it's a bit less problematic as all you would lose in both cases is the contract notice after you read it, not getting added to your inventory.
But overall it's very rare for someone to use Klubargutan's fixes seperately from Brothers in Arms mod where all of them are integrated, plus, as I'm the author in both, all the conflicting files between Events and Klubargutan's stuff, plus all other potentially conflicting files are all patched to contain 100% edits from all mods.
Ah okay, I'll leave it as it is then. I was considering using BiA as a whole, but my mod setup is rather complex and I've tweaked a lot of stuff in it due to personal preferences, so I ended up with a more mix-and-match approach to small fixes and restored content for the sake of compatibility. Thank you very much for the help (and for your great mods, of course)!
People saying... If use any mod, It make 'Reinald's Philter' bugged('In the Eternal Fire's Shadow' quest). According to my experience... no potion icon, and can't complete ''make 'Reinald's Philter'' (optional) quest.

If this mod is updated for the Next-Gen... Is it okay to not use mods for a while while doing quest like this?
Hello , I also had some issues with it on the new quest ,it wouldnt continue form open the cave entrance and got stuck there . i restarted my playtrough from the first velen quest to replay the familly matters and got verry obssesed with the new quest and decided to take a save without the mod and started adding my normal mods and when i tried with dlc-events, the issue it reapeared. my just be an isolated event but i also downloaded different saves and tried and the same issue
Look for any new quest that is listed in the description on your game be careful i had issues with the new quest in next gen , for the netflix armour and weapons, dorr opens and no update in the quest line

The standart version works fine.
Hopefully it will be included in an updated version for NEXT-GEN.
