Hello together! In my picture Bea is wearing a red dress because I can't find the colouring entries. There is only a quest file of Bea, but somehow no main file. But there must be one - can someone please write down the path?
All quest files have a tab at the top the tree where you normally edit appearances. It says "Includes". This shows you which main (base) file is used. I explain this in the tutorial.
OK - thank you very much! For me as a beginner, it's all still very confusing, but I'm trying .. I found the CE's from Bea. And now copy and paste where ? I know you've probably already explained it, but I still don't get it :( Greatings Peter PS: As you can see, I succeeded - I think. It was very difficult for me to follow the last steps, to understand what you meant by copying, pasting and renaming the color entries. Thanks again and no hard feelings.
Hi Divergent444! With great help from qMaciej i have cooked my first modTomiraToKeira and i want to say thank you. You can have my sreen shots with german titles and i can make a german pdf for steps … Greatings Peter
Thank you!In your opinion, is it useful to distribute a small film that explains your approach in more detail or are you "modders" rather not okay if too many people participate?Do you know why, for example, WolvenKit 7 or 5 do not work (Win11)or only unstable (WIN10)?
I currently use WolvenKit 0.6.1 http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3161 (with NextGen adaptation made by a friend). For help with using WolvenKit with NextGen, I suggest reading the comments on the WolvenKit page, or asking for assistance on the Brothers in Arms Discord https://discord.gg/eamM9VeejF. I am not in any way an expert on WolvenKit.
I use this WolvenKit version successfully with Windows 11.
Thank you for your advice. Since yesterday, WK 7, which I found on Github, also works on my gaming PC, so I no longer have to switch back and forth between 2 devices.
Hello! I have translated your tutorial into German because I want to learn to mod. The modder qMaciej recommended you as a teacher. I installed WolvenKit and wanted to load the file "prologue_village_herbalist.w2ent", but errors are displayed. What am I doing wrong? PS.: I have posted a picture to explain. Thanks Peter
Thank You! I still used the version 1.32. My guess in the meantime is that WIN 11 blocks the program, because it now works on an older device with WIN 10. Is it possible to provide both the mod created and the mod project ? Some of the PDF is not clear to me and I also do not know what question to ask so I can get on with the answer. Greetings Peter
Thanks for the tutorials divergent, they have been very helpful, but i was actually wondering if you could make a tutorial or at least help me understand on how to make/edit mods like MKM Body and Face or anything else regarding editing the character to make it your own, I am still unclear if blender is needed, and if so what is to new way to export and import files and all that, this has been very frustrating to understand since all other tutorials are from way back then when different methods were used, so again any help would be greatly appreciated.
I finally found the motivation to mod the game once again. Followed your guide and DM instructions, did a few face swaps without any coloring/low res faces rendering issues. I have to say: THANKS!
It turns out that the biggest problem is not changing the faces or clothing items, but rather searching for the right ones ahaha. Do you know of any way to change the appearance of community NPCs in game? I tried a few console extension mods and commands but all of them seem to work on main NPCs only. Also is there a way to see face models outside of the game? I see many character\models\XXX\XXX\heads\h_25_ma__random_example_npc.w2mesh files but it is tiresome to launch the game every single time I want to see what they look like. I assumed that I could load them in Blender but I have zero experience with said program and the faces just do not load properly due to me not being able to configure it correctly.
I also attempted to load the w2mesh files directly in wolvenkit but it asks me to export them or something along these lines, when I right click the file and select export nothing seems to happen, even if I clicked the option to render w2mesh files under tools IIRC.
I am unaware of any console commands that can alter community characters' appearances. Vanilla community characters have these single .w2ent file default appearances that are very different from how most other characters work, which is why my Low Quality Community Characters Redone mod replaced these files with the ones used by normal NPC characters.
As far as editing .w2mesh files and texture files, that's something I've avoided until now and afaik, that is not something you can do in WolvenKit alone.
Finding the right face and/or hair is something I have also struggled with, until I made my own reference guide, which I've decided to upload. So enjoy. I hope it helps.
Hmm, good to know that at least everyone struggles just like I do lol, but your reference guide made it 10 times easier to find the right faces. Thank you for helping me so much when I had no idea what to do, and for giving me all the info I needed. As well as making this guide so that every beginner can very easily learn what to do
Really, thanks a lot! Who knows, maybe my little side projects will succeed and I can upload them on Nexus? If I ever do I will make sure to credit you for the help you gave me

Für mich als Anfänger wird es wahrscheinlich nicht reichen.
Thank you!
