The hardest release so far (and a huge challenge for us), but let's try to make it short and simple:

About E3ARP...

This project brings back the animations seen in famous 2014 official presentation. Yes, this is not fake or anything similar to it. It really brings back the animations from the 2014 demo. We know that there are couple of animation mods named E3, but they never really brought back what people wanted, and what most people waited for. Videos which are made for the sake of comparison will show you what's added from the 2014 demo, but it will not reveal how we followed E3 to help us finalize this project. Multiple 2014 demo gameplay videos were used to get the best representation overall.

Note: This is the initial release. Some animations may not be 100% accurate to the demo (Sword Run is still WIP), mostly due to a lack of reference or almost complete absence from said demos.

Important: To have the best experience these animations will look the best in Kaer Morhen armour, and camera needs to match the one from official gameplay 2014. An optional file will be uploaded that includes highly accurate  Immersive Cam settings, to really nail the E3 camera. The Immersive Cam mod itself and our E3ARP Immersive Cam will be required if using this optional file.

How long it took us to make:

In total, it took us over 8 months considering we also worked on SCAAR updates and other small projects in that period. Exploring and learning how to use AutoDesk Maya took a long time, many hundreds of hours. It was extremely difficult to achieve some of the animations like the E3 run, that animation alone has gone through over 60 different variants. Yes, they are only locomotion animations, but nothing is easy considering we want the animations to be as accurate as possible. We were going into VERY specific details, basically rotoscoping animations of Geralt from the 2014 gameplay videos. We watched it from different angles while animating to get everything ready for the game. Not to mention other problems and situations we were faced with.

The behaviour file for Geralt has also had MANY new nodes added. This included reinstating the jogging system as also seen in SCAAR, and bringing back additive animations for walking and running to give a true E3 experience. Learning all of this was just as time consuming as learning Maya, i
t was incredibly difficult to achieve all of this.

What's missing:

Animations that are missing from the demo are the vault/parkour animations. We will try to make them and release in future updates, but only when we make them as accurate as we can.

About compatibility with W3EE Redux:

Fully Compatible on 1.32, and not compatible with W3EE Redux Alpha for next gen.

About compatiblity with another mods:

E3ARP IS NOT compatible with any mod which edits the same files as this mod. If you have any animation mod which edits behaviour files, for example SCAAR, E3IG, E3GG, VGX Sword Walk, make sure to remove it before installing E3ARP.

E3ARP IS compatible with script mods such as "E3 Improved Combat Animations", "Combat Speed Mod", "More reasonable combat animations", "Better Parries Update", "Legendary Counter", "Combat Stance", ' Enhanced Targeting for UPatch' 'Magic Spells' and many more.

In short, script mods should be fine, but animation mods that contain blob0 and buffers0 bundle files will most likely conflict.

Installation:

Download the main file. Extract the main archive then copy DLC, mods and bin folders and paste them to your main The Witcher 3 directory. Download the 4.04 update to have correctly working cameras!

Compatibility Patches Installation for 1.32 version of mods
For the compatibility patches download the file from miscellaneous files and extract it. You will be presented with a number of options. Choose the option that matches with your current setup and place it in your Mods folder.

Additional Installation Information:

Friendly Controls Users 1.32
Navigate to mods/modFriendlyControls/content, and delete the metadata.store, blob0.bundle and buffers0.bundle.
Give  the modE3ARPFC locomotiondirectcontroller.ws patch file higher priority to win over Friendly Controls locomotion script. Other script merge.

Immersive Motion Users 1.32
Use Immersive Motion for Gamepads - Re-envisioned from the Immersive Motion - Stand - Alone page as it contains the files the patch is built on. Once installed, make sure to give the E3ARP ImmersiveMotion patch higher priority to win over modE3ARP and Immersive Motion locomotion scripts.

Enhanced Edition/Redux Users  1.32
Make sure to give the patch file priority over EE/Redux in Script Merger. Ignore any merging for locomotionDirectController.ws, and only merge the playerInput.ws file if needed with other mods.
Please note, the patch is designed to overwrite EE/Redux’s scripts, so any merging should be done using the one from the patch. Use mouse wheel to control movement for W3EE Edittions.

Vanilla scripts updated 1.32:

Download vanilla Scripts Updated -1.32 and paste it in the main The Witcher 3 directory. Overwrite when asked.

For Next Gen Users 4.0: This file is mandatory to use , or you will have camera issues if you don't use it.

Download Vanilla Scripts Updated - 4.00 Next-Gen, and extract. Then cut the content folder from modE3ARPVanillaNextGen and paste it over to modE3ARP scripts folder - choose overwrite.

Other Conflicts 1.32:

When you get exploration.ws conflict between E3ARP and ImmersiveCam, don't merge them but give priority to modE3ARPImmersiveCam.

Camera shake when idle 4.02:

In E3-2014 presentations there is also camera shake idle. Its not always noticable, but hardcore E3 fans will know about it. Some people might find this annoying, so adjusting the cam shake idle and optional patch to remove it completely will be available.

It's recommended to use "Remove camera shake/bobbing effect when running or sprinting" if you have any excessive camera issues.

This mod does not affect Ciri.
