- Fixes a bug which caused weapons and armor in New game Plus to be much higher level than Geralt, and in higher levels even exceeding the level cap in terms of stats. This only affected the main file and damage only file - static attributes only users have no issues.
I recently installed this mod but i didnt like them as much so i uninstalled them unfortunately all my witcher gear have the same stats now ... PLS HELP
wolf mastercrafted armor 205 Ursine Master crafted armor 205 gryphon steel sword 289-346 wolf steet sword 289-346 (i checked an older save same thing with feline and other witcher gear
plus all of them have the same required level ... (34) i think they all came to the same levels ... although after i used a mod (improved wolf swords) the level required changed for me...so did the stats (level 40 and 395-446) thinking of reinstalling the game and checking
This is not my mod's doing, but rather the game itself. I actually went through the grueling process of downloading and reinstalling the game -twice- to confirm this. In the latest patch, all the mastercrafted gear is lvl 34 with matching stats.
If you want to test this out yourself, you can download the 1.06 installer on GOG and install it. The stats of the weapons and gear will be what's listed here: http://www.gosunoob.com/tag/witcher-3-best-weapons-armor/
Once you then update the game with the latest GOG patch, the gear will have the lvl34 requirement instead. I'm pretty sure this was introduced in 1.07, as rolling back my Galaxy install to 1.07 still yielded the lvl 34 gear. This is also corroborated by this entry in the 1.08 patch notes: "In patch 1.07, the level requirements for certain items were scaled up, leaving some players stuck with only unusable gear. With patch 1.08, we are introducing the Wolven Hour potion. This potion will be available in everyone’s inventory once they install the patch. It will reduce level requirements on all gear for a period of one hour. This will give players time to level up or find alternative equipment using the gear that was available to them in patch 1.05 but became unusable after patch 1.07. After one hour, the potion’s effects will cease and the requirements for all gear will revert to their original, pre-potion values."
All that being said, the stats of the gear before the 1.07 change was still fairly static, with the only variance being that Wolf gear was level 34 and Ursine swords had slightly better damage... So I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. Either way you'll just have to live with it, sorry to say
oh ... that is really odd ...i was playing with 1.02 patch for quite a while so maybe that bugged me... i knew feline and gryphon weapons were he same stats ...anyway thanks.
You're welcome! After reading your post, i went ahead and tested my own game, and found the same results you had found. I then went on a googling spree to figure out if those stats were right or not, and every guide and site I could find all listed the old values. Naturally, I then thought I had fucked something up and ruined people's game installs, so I spent the next 4 hours or so downloading, uninstalling, and testing things Was very happy to see that this was not the case.
maybe something got messed up on my end ...i was getting very greedy with installing the level restriction mod (turns out all i needed was add NGP to the command to get a overpowered weapon)
What kind of mod are you planning? Have you figured out some better ways of gaining control over stats and such than editing the XML files? Anyway, I wouldn't mind that at all. It's better to have mods like this collected in larger mods anyway so that's there better compatibility and easier to maintain an install. Credit me, okay?
Is it possible to also make all items require level 1 to use? I know there's a mod out already that ignores level requirements but the text still appears in red. A much bigger issue with that mod however, is that when you do something that requires you to temporarily surrender your weapons, you will only receive items back which you are the correct level for. All other items you had equipped will be lost.
If it's possible to make everything require level 1, I would love you forever.
As far as I know, sadly, damage and level requirements are tied to each other. As an example, in the crafting XML, there's an entry for minimum damage, but no mention of level. The level of the crafted weapon is set by whatever this minimum damage is.

I`m planning to do a bigger mod which will include my RWR, and wanted to ask you if its okay for you to include your mod into a seperate version?
