Small update, in case anyone is still waiting: I am finally back to the game and also working on a Next Gen version, this time including all main menus, not just the base game. But so far I am struggling with music being silent after getting cooked into a mod. As soon I have this resolve, it's just a matter of minutes until I can publish the update.
Hi, i recently download this mod, and i hear nothing not even the capmfire. I dont know what to do, and yes i drag the mod to the mod folder. Thanks for response.
This mod is currently for classic edition only. aka v1.32. If you play on the latest version, aka next gen edition, it wont work. I'm sry for this.
I am still waiting for propper updates to the specific turorials (or new ones alltogether). There are some guide how to use the updated tools in general but so far I didn't had luck with trying to frantenstiein my own way together how to mod just specific sounds files like before.
Next gen is definitelly planned, yes. Other languages get difficult since the game stores the song in multiple files. Only the polish version was stored "pre stitched together" in the game files. So unless I snatch every single version from YT (I already did it with english) the only other language I could provide is german. (But that version has its own problems, like sudden gaps of silenceness all over the place.)
TLDR: other languages are on my ToDo list, but I would need some help. Or CDPR releases a full OST album including all languages.
I hope the editor does come with support sound files. So far it was always tricky to uncook and convert them via multiple third party tools. And DLC sound files. So that I can work on support for DLC main menus too
I don't game very much these days (irl stuff, the usual struggle). Comming back to playing and modding TW3 is at the top of my WantToDo list though. Updating this mod is already planned too but I have to wait till the tools get updated.
I have my eyes and ears open but so far no updates on the tools or tutorials here. But maybe I missed something. If you have any new information, especially on sound modding tools, let me know here or via PM. I want to have mod updated too.
Idk who made these tools but most of them are basically thrid party programms and scripts and tbh it took me quite a bit of tinkering around and searching for some other tools mentioned in the tutorial to get this sound modding setup working. (both, the tutorial and the tools are linked in the description page) But I doubt that CDPR had their hands in providing these tools. I don't know if they care about sound mods or wether they are working on updates for modding tools or not.

Yes, you are right. But I have already mentioned this in the description that you need a mod to change the background if you're bothered by a dlc main menu. Friendly Hud for example has this feature too. Or some video replacement mods might also set the main menu fix to base game background.
Idk if you can randomize the music of one and the same main menu. But when you have the other DLCs and set the menu background to random (this is the default if you have no mods like friendly hud installed) and your Toss a coin song plays in the other main menus, you can try and put my mod above the other one in the loading order. That way my mod should get loaded first and replace the base games menu music while the other menus will have the other mods music.
But, like mentioned, if the other mod changes the base games menu music too, you might have to choose one.
It always bothered me that every time i open the game i get welcomed by that loud ass song, thank god you made this, works like a charm, love that song, i can finally change the settings with peace
Nice to hear that my mod has this side effect. But you are right. It was so loud that I didn't even knew that the main menu also has a camp fire sound playing in the background.
